Bricks might take more memory, but they are way faster than equivalent interiors. Interiors are tremendously hard to work with. Game types are fun because of the gameplay rules not because of interiors.
I will delete further posts about how we should implement a replacement for interiors/terrain. Having a replacement is a fine idea. But this thread is about shadows and shaders and how interiors and terrains are going away, not about how interiors and terrains are staying.
