Or even if the building wasn't a square, but was a rectangle. Then you could design the shorter sides differently, and spice up the build a little bit. If you did this you could also decrease the brick count somewhat, if you were to have a side that is just wall, and no balconies/windows.
Technically it is a rectangle already...but I get what you mean: not a square. Not that bad of an idea though. Thanks!

change your texture pack so the lines don't stick out and glow and it'll look better.
I'll try it and see how it looks.
Any suggestions as to which texture pack to use?

A version for each? Possibly even mix up the look to fit whatever is inside, but exteriors are quite deceiving, guess it depends on viewpoint.
Not each. Like 10 floors will be apartments/condos that are near identical, then some offices that are different, then maybe something else idk.

I've always wanted to make a office in blockland but just fear of it being completely insulted by the people who make really cool ones. You people know who you are making your city rpg office buildings!
I've done a few before and gotten "completely insulted" but also each of those insults helps you to improve it.

Normally I would say it looks communist, but it dosent give of that vibe for that its a good build dup build :D
Hahaha thanks :)

If you're going to duplicate floors you should at-least built a smooth and convincing exterior and make it separate from the interior, then build a compatible interior and duplicate up.
Thanks.
I'm thinking of changing the interior room's colors to brown trim and tan walls then the hallways gray and blue or something like that I don't quite know yet.

Now if only each could be furnished by a different person...
I'm going to furnish everyone but I'm still deciding whether to do apartments/condos or offices or both.
It's so duped!
and bland
and gray.
Correct me if I'm wrong but most apartment buildings/offices that I know of are practically entirely duped or have the same pattern throughout. For instance...my favorite building in the world: One Rincon Hill in San Francisco. It's literally the same exact thing for like 25 or more something floors then a cool-looking roof.

i smell heavy duplication
The first floor was built brick by brick then duplicated up and same with the staircase.

V1
Description
I have plans to make a smallish city and this is my first build to begin construction to add to the roads already laid out.
It's 20 floors tall (not including parking garage or empty space below building). It's roughly 15,000 bricks which will be reduced most likely by the time I'm totally done.
Please give me as much criticism and as many comments/complaints/suggestions/questions you possibly can and rate x/10. If you are going to take the much-appreciated-time to comment advice, please let me know whether you think it'd be better to have parking at floor 1 or below ground or both or in a separate parking garage or something.

You can make a bot a tank turret so it doesn't add to total
You could also use the supply drop mod to drop it, it would take some fine tuning to get it to land in the right spot but it's definately possible

Description
A moderately long track with multiple routes to choose along the way. It's up to you to pick and choose which ones are the fastest for you to win the race.

Specifications
  • Uses entirely default bricks (shocker there huh?) except for Modular Terrain Bricks (holy s***!!! a huge surprise there!)
  • Bricks - (as of now without many details and starting gates - about 10,000 (±1,000)
  • Avg. completion time - has not been timed yet but my estimate would be between 1.5 and 2.5 minutes
Pictures
**More detailed pictures coming soon, this is merely a preview!**

**The dark-grey piece on the side of the dirt road after the straight-away will be deleted before release!**

Please rate x/10 in each category (layout, willingness to try it out, and overall)
