White is all the colors mixed.
Black is none of the colors.
Also, in the art world, White and Black are considered 'shades.'
Black is actually all the colours we see, because it absorbs all visible light, therefore giving off a black colour.

White on wikipedia:
White contains all the wavelengths of visible light without absorption, has maximum brightness, and does not have any hue.

Best way imo for you to stop being pathetic, limit yourself to internet access. It means you will have more spare time to do other things. Pick up a sport/hobby, learn to do something for the sake of learning it. Me myself, I plan on learning some blacksmithing because i have always been interested. At a certain point if you stick with something, you could be like "hey i know how to make X". If you shut yourself in, you cant be a social butterfly if you are locked in a cage.
Having hobbies/interests that go against the majority of people is a bad idea, when was the last time you heard of a child enthusiast or a murderer being the most popular person in town. As cliche as this is, it is smart to fit in, i dont mean changing who you are, just dont tell everyone the whole story about you.
Most obvious advice ever: Just act casual and talk to someone. If you sit there worrying about it and getting nervous, you wont make a positive impression.
