And DICE and EA don't want to let down the community, I'm sure.

All three platforms would of received the beta at the same time, only with the pc getting a more updated build. Overall though I think they should of not released the beta if they knew it didn't reflect the current build. Sadly though, they promised it a long time ago to people who pre-ordered that MOH game, so in that way they were kind of screwed.

Then the console players will throw a tantrum that it's not fair that PC players get an updated build. And DICE and EA don't want to let down the community, I'm sure.

Battlefield 2 was total damage rape. It took like 3 hits in the chest to get a kill with the SVD, and atleast 15 shots with the spec ops guns. Bad Company was much better, and Battlefield 3 seems perfect.

Assuming you're basing that off the beta, I'm not sure about you but one shot to the chest with a pistol is too much damage to die.

The Battlefield 3 beta is over and DICE has no doubt received a ton of input on all aspects of them game, especially the weapons in respect to their damage and accuracy. DICE’s lead designer, and weapon specialist Alan Kertz has revealed a lot of interesting news via his ever growing Twitter account.

Among the confirmations is that the damage dealt by SMGs has been adjusted, after many complained that the UMP-45 and the PP-2000 were overpowered in the beta. However, Kertz stated that the main damage model for the weapons overall has not been changed.

It’s not surprising that DICE adjusted some weapons based on beta feedback, however, many also complained that it’s far too easy to kill people in Battlefield 3 compared to previous games, and that it almost feels like a hardcore setting. This won’t change, according tot Kertz. Speaking of hardcore, he confirmed that damage will increase about 50% when playing Battlefield 3 on hardcore mode.

Not a lot of co-op missions. I'm guessing the game will be more focused on Single and Multiplayer?

On co-op, the enemies always come from different directions so your experience will never be the same for each map. Think of it like L4D2.
