Ultimate DMR weapon:

SCAR-H with Silencer, BiPod, and ACOG (at least for what I have now, Ill be getting the combat scope in a couple of minutes).

Silencer = makes bullets take longer to travel over distances

Silencer = for close range engagements

According to an anonymous report BF3Blog received from inside Valve, the developer/publisher is currently in late-stage talks with EA in bringing Battlefield 3 to the Steam digital distribution service. The rumor says that Battlefield 3 would be available on Steam just in time for the game’s release on October 25.

According to the report, EA and Valve are very close to reaching an agreement regarding sales of DLC content, which is the main reason Battlefield 3 is not on Steam: Valve requires that all DLC is sold through Steam, while EA would prefer to sell via its own channels. This was the cause of another EA title, Crysis 2, for being pulled from Steam earlier this year.

Many PC gamers have lobbied both EA and Valve to put Battlefield 3 on Steam for a while now. It looks like it’ll finally happen soon.

We’ve reached out to EA and Valve for a comment on this story.

I play CoD, I have a HD PVR, and listen to rap music? Everyone hates on people like me. Yes I quickscope and trickshot. Whats wrong about this? Its what I like to do and why can't I do it without being insulted?

That's why.

Sniper rifles aren't supposed to be more efficient than shotguns at close range. It makes no sense.

Snipers/recons shouldn't be at close range anyways.

Its a cheap and a pusillanimous individual strategy to use which is generally frowned upon; At least by most people.

A full list of Battlefield 3 maps were released a few days ago, one of them being "MP_OMAHA" with no associated picture. Omaha was a map in Battlefield 1942 (and a good one at that) which was based on the famous invasion of Normandy. Roaming around base three in Battlefield 3's Operation Metro map, you'll notice this newspaper box:



And what is that in the top right?



Not very easy to read, but the original graphic isn't much easier to understand either. Think you know what Battlefield 3's "Le Magazine De La France" newspaper says or what the above picture really contains? Let us know!

The only map in the Battlefield 3 beta (officially, at least), Operation Metro, is experiencing a love/hate relationship with many players, most of which have grown tired of it. Like it or hate it, it’s all we got for now, and some beta players managed to snag a bird’s eye view of the map, showing its size, in particular, the first exterior section. We got a couple of more shots after the break.

Does anyone else wonder what the hell this guy could have done to have 1/10 of the population want to violently murder him?

I honestly want a storyline for this game.

* Shell writes a halfassed storyline

Badass white guy with friends with black shades kill mob boss. Mob boss's friends kill white guy's friends and only one is left. Mob boss's friends try to kill white friend while white guy's friend helps him. Badass white guy is blind and deaf so he's completely oblivious to what's going on around him
