Surprisingly not, even when doing it in the living room where my whole family was.sometimes you see a post that you have to read a few times to actually take in and this is one of them
"the person i liked didn't win! democracy is dead! down with electoral college!""the person i like won, get over losing despite being the majority"
And we're still hereyes we are but we could be here better
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_elections_in_which_the_winner_lost_the_popular_votei am aware of the other failures of the system
proper representation as in the number of electors per state is based on the population of the stateif representation is based on population but the goal of the electoral college is to prevent minority groups from being tramped on by the majority that doesnt seem like a terribly efficient system and if anything the minority group would be the a wolf with three votes voting on dinner with two sheep. a more apt comparison would be a bunch of cannibal wolves voting for each other.
proper representation as in pure, uncut democracy, which has been described as two wolves and a lamb voting on who to have for dinner
proper representation as in the states with all the people are the only ones that matter
meaning states like Wyoming don't get represented by their president, the man who could perform executive orders in their state that could affect their livelihoods
I can link what I posted in the other thread on the EC if you want
you mean the people in pennsylvania or michigan or wisconsin because that's not trueim talking the actual popular vote and if the states had proper representation the winner wouldnt own all the electors
ftfythe people theyre supposed to represent voted hillary in by 2 million if you want to start some stuff
More like people are going to vote for whoever the forget the media tells them to vote for, and they are doing so.holy forget
This election has been rigged in more ways than the obvious, they may have bussed people in, but that's not enough. They may have silenced people who tried to show hillary for who she really is, but that's not enough. It is the years of mass brain washing, convincing people to dismiss out of the ordinary claims as 'conspiracy theories'. Making people fear out of the ordinary actions, because it could lead to your life being ruined just because you thought differently. If the media determines it to be 'tribal' or 'loveist', don't even think about doing it, or you could lose your lively hood, social status, everything. This is what the media has done, they stood against Annoying Orange and perpetuated bullstuff to the extent that everyone hates him without knowing why. "Oh but he went bankrupt several times, hes a tribal bigot, he hates mexicans, he hates-, he didn't-, this happened twelve years ago..." While Hillary is leaving innocent people to die, pulling voter fraud over peoples eyes, and erasing all evidence of doing so and getting away with it because she's a "progressive". This is where the rigging starts, long term mass brain washing. In the end, this is the 1984 that Orwell predicted.
If it were a popularity based vote, then everyone outside of the cities would always get forgeted. That's what people don't seem to get. Popularity is not a fair representation. Although Popularity determines electoral votes, the counties within states determine where the electoral vote goes. If that last part wasn't the case, then yes a lot of states would have turned blue, but that isn't a fair representation since they only make up a fraction of any given state.the electoral college is good until i lose
