Off Topic / WALK2222's making $800!

My High school is quite tightly-nit with this farm just down the road from us.  They are having a "Haunted Corn Maze" and asked the high school if they pretty much wanted to stand in certain corners of the maze and scare the stuff out of some kids for a couple of hours.  This is awesome, and not even the good part yet.  We have to do this every Saturday and Friday throughout October (so 8 times).  Each night we get paid $100!  So eight nights of scaring the crap out of kids and getting paid $800 in total sounds like a pretty awesome deal to me! 
I am so excited for this!

Approaching Nirvana is made up of two musical producers, who make electronic music.  You can see they're youtube page here http://www.youtube.com/user/ApproachingNirvana.  They just released a new album yesterday called Evolve, and I bought it.  In my opinion it is fantastic, although others may have different opinions, I highly suggest that you check it out.

What this pretty much does is take a sentence or phrase that you have said, and translate it through 8 different languages, then back to English.  Kind of like google translate, but with more translations.  The ending product is pretty funny sometimes.

I would like to know if anyone could do a quick project for me.

I would really like it if I could have this guy (below) in the center of this, kind of just standing there. (I could not find the original, but here is an edited version of it (made by Lego Pepper))



Could someone place him (non-edited version) in the center of this logo?  Also, if it isn't too much work, crop out that excess white in the bottom, and right corners of the picture.  If you want an un-edited picture of the clouds, here it is.



I would do this myself, but I do not have photoshop, and I am very bad at editing pictures…

Off Topic / How can I make my computer run servers and more programs quickly and stable?

Hi,
I have wanted to run a server, or even games on my computer at the same time.  I can run a minecraft server easily with 4 GBs of RAM, but I would like to expand and run maybe a minecraft server and a Blockland server at once.  But if I try to, my computer becomes quite slow..
Is there a way to fix this?  I have heard of buying RAM, but I don't know if that would really help me as much, My internet speed is not very much of a problem, from my point of view

Off Topic / Graphics with java?

Hi guys,
this is for people who thoroughly know the programming language Java.
I know the language, but I would like to know how to create graphics with it.  I know this is kind of broad, but I believe it would be interesting to possibly scratch the surface of making a graphic based game.  An example of a very well known game made with Java would be Minecraft.  It would be fantastic to learn how to import graphics, and such with Java.  For those who know how to do this, I may not be making any sense with what I am saying right now, but I would love to learn.  Is there a way I could create "graphics" then import them into my project somehow?  If so a video on this, or tutorial would be great.

General Discussion / Would anyone like to host my game?

Hi guys, lately because of the update, and hosting other servers for other games, I cannot host my brand new server which I would like to :c
The server is a zombie forest survival.  The main point of it is to scare the player, and to be challenging.  Players spawn in the middle of a HUGE forest, not medium, HUGE.  The players have to explore the forest, while avoiding zombies which are hunting them.  There are many secrets inside the forest, from chests, to a mountain that is climbable.  If this is hosted I would love it if you gave me credit for creating it.  Such as putting my name in the title (Player's and WALK2222's Zombie forest) and putting "Made by WALK2222" in the greeting.  Also if there is a glitch, admin (to leave the mini game) and full trust (to edit bricks if you loaded it as yourself) would be great!
I know this is a lot to ask, but if you would be happy to host this, that would be fantastic!

Off Topic / Extending my wireless internet (verizon)

Hi guys,
I have a kind of technical question today.  A couple months ago my family changed from Comcast to Verizon (its really ****ty to be honest) and I don't get internet in my room (which is where my desktop is).  With Comcast I could use Apples Airport Express to plug in upstairs, in my room, extending the wireless internet.  Meaning that I could hots easily and have fantastic internet.  But now, since we have Verizon, I cannot find a way to extend my wireless internet.  Is there a box of some sort that I could plug into the wall, then via ethernet cable connect to my computer?  I have been having this problem for months now, and it is really making me have problems with hosting.  Thanks for your help.

TL;DR
I get stuffty internet where I host my servers, I need a way to extend my Verizon wireless internet.  Any ideas?

PS (If possible cheap would be great, like around at the most $90?)

Help / Blockland reeeeeally slow.

I started the update today, went into the start menu, and started a game. But it was acting pretty slow. I wanted to see how the new update looked, so I turned down some other settings and turned on shadows and shaders.

The console was spamming this message "light manager ::uninstallgllights: no lights installed!"
I have never had a problem playing blockland, and this computer is pretty new.

It's a windows 7 aced desktop computer. That I have had for about 6 months.

Drama / My Little Pony and opinions on it.

Attention all Blocklanders I have something to say about the whole My Little Pony deal. 
Now I am not going to say how good it is, nor say how bad it is.  Just needed to get something out there.
MLP (My Little Pony) was first started in 1992 (the show), it was originally meant for the age group for about 5-10 year old girls.  This show ran for many years then took a break from the extreme media, and mainly focused on the toys.  After a couple of years the show came back with My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.  This show was at first focused towards the younger generation, but later adapted to a show which families could watch together.  The show taught good life lessons for kids, but also (even though it wasn't meant too at first) to adults.  After the producers and media started to realize that a vast majority of people out side of the original age group started watching it, they started to adapt the show.  The show is still 'focused' towards the make-believe world with ponies.  But it also focuses on great life lessons for kids, teenagers, and adults alike. 

Now many people are getting fed up with this new 'fad' saying its "immature, stupid, meant for kids" and not taking a look at the other side of it.  I for one am not into this show at all.  But do respect others opinions on it, and I am supportive of others who may watch it.  Many people here immediately turn it down, not even considering the show.

As many of you have seen there has been hate spewed back and fourth by both MLP fans and non fans.  An example is here by infamous Hookhands' topic

Although I did link that topic, I do not mean to throw hate at hook hands, he has done himself in plenty so far.

The main reason for this thread is to say that it is okay if you like the show, or if you don't like the show.  But don't hate others for their opinion / decision on it, it is there choice and they do not need to be hated for what show they are watching.

I do not mean to start a flamewar with this thread, if you have a different opinion on what I just said, I understand, but please do not exclaim it to others if there is no reason too.  Thank you for reading.

General Discussion / Zombie Forest WIP (Preview)

Hi guys,
although this does have a picture, it is not gallery worthy.  I am here to ask if anyone would like to help me on my new project.
I have been wanting to make this for quite a while, although I have not had the time for it.

So what I am making is a giant forest.  Yes there are a ton of duplicated trees, but that isn't the point.  The forest is going to have a plentiful amount of cannibalistic zombies roaming around.  Now judging from the image you may be thinking that this looks like the slender game.  Although the map layout may resemble it a little bit, it is quite different.  Slender is based off one guy roaming around, who you cannot kill, and only appears as you progress.  This is different, here you can Roleplay, go hunting, find new places, and more.  Although you may be thinking that this is a lot like Zombies in the Bluezone, it, just like slender, is not.  Roleplaying isn't a major aspect of the game, it is a suggestion.  Also, every area of the forest has zombies, unlike in the Bluezone where there are safe areas. 
The whole point of the game is to be very scary for the player.
Now with that being said, lets move along.

Gameplay
You will spawn in the middle of the forest, although it looks sort of small right now, it will be much bigger later.  Zombies spawn in the corners and edges of the forest, rather than the center, making traveling far quite quite dangerous.  You can either walk with friends, or in groups, but you should come prepared, as it is very dangerous.  There are many secrets, and hideouts along the way.  Although they may not always be the most safe areas.... 

Technical-stuff
The game will be running ZAPT, with the scary zombie faces to added creepy-ness
All the zombies from Left 4 dead will be there.

Help / Help with making Trees

I suck at making trees in Blockland, but I happen to need them for a new server I am making.
