well, I suppose for the porpouse that it was programmed in it didn't work right

glados was made to help run the facility (afaik, doesn't matter anyway)
it figured out it doesn't like the stuff it has to do, and rebelled
that's a sign of intelligence
it's called artificial intelligence for a reason
just because it shat on the whole thing and killed everyone doesn't mean it didn't work right
it was supposed to learn, because that's what AI does
and it did
