A better scan of the map of Equestria

Vanhoover, Tall Tale, Unicorn Range, several Mountains, Dragons to the southeast, Griffin land to the east, this is so interesting. I REALLY hope Season Three has adventures in some of these new regions.

I know you're kidding but I seriously hate Tara, she's clearly manipulating bronies for her own gain.

okay, please, stop this
it seems like every time Tara is mentioned you (and possibly some other dude) make up some bullstuff like this

also at times when minor brony-things come up

it gets old real fast. it's not funny or true, no one wants to hear it.

That "Shorts" rumor has been slashed. The website responsible for hosting that logo took it from this dude.

So instead of 26 episodes, we'll be getting 13 and shorts?
i'mokwiththis.png

if i recall correctly, i don't like shorts
if that is the case though i'm still interested in seeing how it would play out

if only pixelkitties scanned them in instead of snapping photos
it'd be easier to see and/or vector

why do i have to keep saying this is actually confirmed do you people really not know -___-
KH3 will be the next game

I didn't say it wasn't? I was suggesting the story could lead to KH3, as in, DDD might be a pre-story like Chain of Memories and 358/2 were to KH2.

I hated the Grid, the little bike ride was fun but otherwise I didn't really enjoy it. I keep Sora and Riku running on the same levels, trying not to get them ahead of each other. They're both on Prankster's Paradise right now, I just got there.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the game. Interface reminds me of Birth by Sleep (with the command deck recharging deal), the basic controls are fun with Circle Pad Pro, and the story seems to be either tying itself up or possibly getting to a point where KH3 will follow and finish the story completely.

These new pet-partners are somewhat odd, but the special abilities they grant you remind me of another thing in Birth by Sleep. I like how you can create and upgrade them individually and in an interesting fashion play with them too.

also, "alright" and "all right" are the same things

you just realized this? i thought the moment you get photoshop you're supposed to experiment with everything so you get a gist of what's what

i've used the pen tool before in photoshop and illustrator, but it didn't cross my mind to use it to as a deletion tool along with vector masking. i've only used it for creating lines in the past.

Here's a response from one of the developers.

Quote
Hi, I'm a dev. It's not finished. It's not close to finished. It's not a beta leak, or a demo leak, it's an ALPHA leak. Fighting games do not do open BETA builds, let alone open ALPHA builds.

We aren't a company. We don't get paid. Our testers don't get paid. In one stuffty move, we just lost our entire QA team. We can't buy another one. We just lost our ONLY chance to make a first impression. There was a lot of positive energy tied up in making a good first impression, instead, people's first impression is now a not even 50% finished game. Because we don't get paid, positive energy and anticipation is what keeps us going. We lost a good chunk of it today, and it may take a while for us to recover it.

We don't want free marketing, and we don't need it. Our budget is already zero, or negative. There is very little positive about this, but we are trying to at least minimize the negative.

I hope you can understand our reaction given those facts, that you may not have considered.

We hope people who have the leaked version enjoy it, but we'd far prefer it not to have happened.

When someone breaks your trust, emotions get in the way and rash things typically happen. That reaction isn't surprising.

also, thanks to /r/mlpdrawingschool I found a neat way to do it via Photoshop - The pen tool! Using it, I can create a vector mask, one I can constantly tweak until its perfect, which will remove the scarf bits. it'll take some time though.
yay for helpful internets.

edit: or just a few seconds
i believe i've done everything I wanted with Twilight, now to do Fluttershy. tomorrow.

you gotta separate your layers man! :U

I normally do, quite extensively at that, this round I forgot to do so.
Or I merged them together and saved, I forget now.

then again, you're using photoshop, whereas i use Paint Tool SAI, so my method for fixing this would be a lot simpler on SAI because photoshop is sometimes weird with how it does layering management.

but with how your art style is, photoshop is more suited for you anyway. SAI is more focused on just painting and sketching than photoshop is, whereas PS is focused on special effects and image editing tools.
not saying your art is bad lol, hell no. i love it.

i just prefer SAI is all, 1) i find it easier, and 2) kloudmutt uses SAI! :D

i use (and am using) SAI :I
i was just saying i could transfer if needed, i rarely use photoshop lol

anyway, there is no mane layer. the mane is combined with the rest of Twilight. that is why i'm having a problem, only two layers. one of the scarf, and one of Twilight.

you can't redraw the hair to put on the other layer?
it does sound like more work but it might fit better

I could, and it would likely be the easiest solution, but I'd much rather learn a new technique in removal of annoying pieces of artwork.

try de-drawing the scarf entirely on a new layer but just cut-off once you hit the mane, basically just stop drawing once you hit the border of the mane layer.
this will make it seem like the scarf continues under her mane.

if there's any color overlapping onto the mane, just use the eraser tool to do some touch ups.

i take it you're using a tablet and photoshop, right?

(I'll assume de-drawing meant re-drawing)
I'm using a tablet, and although I am mainly using Paint Tool SAI I can easily transfer over to Photoshop.

With the re-drawing idea, I could just take the current version and erase all connected parts to the mane and then re-draw those lines/colorblocks (as i'll call them) and do what you suggested. Re-drawing the entire thing, although possible and simple to do, would be a bit more time consuming.

In the long run I could re-draw pieces to fix it, but I'm looking for a useful technique if one exists. If I get nothing, it would only take me <1 hour to redo the mane or scarf in a separate layer. Or not, my method is of drawing is time consuming too.

There's something off about the head/face that I just can't put my finger on

perhaps it's the eye position.
i haven't been able to figure out a problem but perhaps /r/mlpdrawingschool will point one out.
