Ambidexterity is something which can be practised, you don't need to be born with it in order to do it.
That being said I've been ambidextrous since I could write my first sentences

Oh yeah. I forgot about those people that learned when they broke an arm or something

1292
I'm ambidextrous when it comes to shooting but my left-handed writing looks like a 2-year-old's attempt at drawing their mommy

Oh lol XD, I've heard of ambidextrous drummers, eaters, etc.

Don't tell the teachers that. :P

"Can't do any work sir! Broken my arm!"

XD I hope I don't break my arm though, twould be said

That's what I love about being left handed: I can use the mouse left-handedly without any problem at all.

I use it because I get confused when they say "left mouse button to fire" or something like that because I'm using the finger on the right side of my hand to press something on the left side of a device. It just feels weird, I don't know how to explain it. But with my left hand I automatically know what to press and I don't have to think about it.

You are most likely ambidextrous then.
Congratulations!

But yeah, if you practice with lefty a bit, you should be able to get both of them as good as each other.

Cool, especially when I break my arm or something - I'll be able to use the other hand right away

I thought left looked a little bit sloppier, other than actually staying on the line.
Comparing the Y's, right looks nicer.

You could be ambidextrous, can you do anything else easier in the left hand than expected?
For example, eating your dinner with knife and fork in opposite hands, or using left-handed scissors.
I would imagine it is something you have to discover.
You don't often try to do a skill with both hands at the same time, so why shouldn't you start off only being able to do one?
You might just need a bit of practice with your left hand first, though, in order to perfect your ability to work with it.

I can eat and play sports with either hand, so I guess I am ambidextrous and didn't know it. The only difference is that the left hand is probably slower by like 1 second or so. I use my left hand for the mouse but I figured that's normal since some other people do it too.

they're both pretty
left just stayed in a nice orderly line

but yeah, I'd say you're ambidextrous.

Yay I have a talent :D I didn't think I had one till now.

Write with both hands at the same time to take notes faster.

Omgyes, time is literally cut in half

EDIT: Oh yeah, I guess your right. The right handed writing is trying to jump of the line :/

Animals are a broad subject. I get bored of drawing cats and dogs and crap all over again. And damn, you reply fast O_O

so if someone draws something over and over again in a different manner they're autistic?
so basically that wipes out 90% of the art communtiy, including you.
congrats

What have I drawn over and over again? I would like to know since you seem to stalk me and read my profile in your free time >.>

Off Topic / Do you think I could be ambidextrous(write with both hands)?
« on: December 24, 2011, 04:39:47 PM »
Well I was bored in class one day, so I just wanted to see if I could write with my left hand(I have never tried it in my life, don't know why I hadn't). Anyways this is what it looked like. Would you consider me legit ambidextrous? My left hand is a bit slower because I haven't used it to write, only when I was like 6 but I was just messing around and was just literally swiping and scraping the paper and not really actually trying to write with it. So now I have to regain muscle strength, so I may start using it to take notes or something.

I'm just asking because I think it's impossible to "discover" that you are ambidextrous. I just think it's bullstuff that I probably didn't know for what... 14 years? I also want to think twice before I consider myself part of a group that only %3 of humans are in. I consider it easy, but I get pissed when I know I can't write faster.

Sorry for the paragraphs. I'm just excited that I may have a talent because I was never double jointed or anything. Also, no I did not practice this.

Off Topic / Re: Your opinion on touch screens & their functionality
« on: December 24, 2011, 02:34:26 AM »
I prefer a physical keyboard over a touch screen because I can feel what I'm typing even when I'm not looking at the keyboard. With the touch screen all I feel is a little buzz and I don't know if I hit the right key or even the keyboard at all. But touch screen is good for pretty much anything else.

I was looking for the thumbs up button on this comment but forgot I'm not on youtube

-snip-

Dude, are you autistic(Symptoms include repetitive behavior, such as drawing a blue car over and over again). Or do genuinely find doing the same thing over and over actually fun?
