Drama / Re: Mr.Mod is a stuffty host
« on: August 29, 2008, 03:28:35 PM »
Note: tribal applies to races. Use 'prejudice' for this case. He is "ID Prejudice".

There are many people who think having a high ID makes them stupid. Personally I prefer to judge them by there actions rather than a number that only shows at what time they bought it.

But then again, I'm not desperately looking for a way to try and be better than strangers to feel important.

"Mr.Mod" is one of many. Just ignore it and move on to a (hopefully) better server.

Well you are quite the detective there.

Anyways, this is useful for setting up teams without Space Guy's TDM add-on, thanks for this.

And I'm a bit late but I couldn't resist. Gikon, shutup. You can post without using goddamn ellipses in-between every sentence.

General Discussion / Re: when the hell is the zombie mob comming out?

He's loving 2-3, he not only writes letters backwards, he types them backwards, too.

(mob)

How did you get that backwards 'd'?
Also, the Zombie Mod is a mod maintained by Rotondo, and you'd have to check in Add-On discussion for progress. He also has a blog about the mod, so you can check that if you find a link.

General Discussion / Re: v9 = forget you
« on: August 25, 2008, 01:32:14 PM »
I've noticed that V9 crashes more often than V8, but it's nowhere near being frequent enough to damage playability. And although I mean no offense to Badspot's work, there are a few bugs that cause minor annoyance. But, the amount of the good introduced in V9 far outweighs the bad.

In short, contribute by politely reporting bugs instead of getting angry, and Badspot can fix it all up when he get's around to it.

I guess that would of been easier.

By the way, this was Space Guy's idea so all credit towards him. All I did was the console stuff.

Haha, this is as cheesy as it gets. I hope he's not serious, but then again, I have been wrong before.

Cursing can be a bit... crude but it's not bad if used sparingly. Besides they aren't magical words that carry some sort of power that automatically inflicts pain on someone. They're just words :/

I crashed my server shortly after by turning snot into a turret while he was in Space Guy, who was also a turret. I wanted to make a turret tower :(

Space Guy showed me this:
/getid when you are looking at someone then in console
id.setDatablock(tankturretplayer);

Forum Games / Re: WEE! (Wrench Events Expo)
« on: August 17, 2008, 08:58:13 AM »
I can build a few event things.
Color Combination Lock, 4-Digit Lock, Puzzle Door Lock, Random Room, and other things.

The 4-Digit Lock is basically the same as any old bike lock, where you cycle through numbers and then press a button to try and unlock it. Color works the same except it uses colors instead of numbers. The Random Room is a thing I've been working on that was inspired by my friend M. It's a room that lies in-between a seamless loop that randomizes itself each time, which is kind of cool.

TRI-BARREL, AWAY!

Also just change the datablock, this isn't a modified version at all.

Help / Server Wide Auth Failure
« on: August 15, 2008, 08:13:40 PM »
At around 6:30AM this morning, in the USSR Tank DM, there was a server wide authentication error. I think around four people got the error and had to reconnect.

I've never seen this before and was just wondering if anyone else has seen this happen before.

General Discussion / Re: I met Badspot (ingame)
« on: August 15, 2008, 05:36:08 AM »
I used to think everyone getting excited over seeing Badspot was stupid and fanboyish.

And then I met him, and was like "Omg, Badspot"

But that was when I was a couple of years younger so maybe I'm not so immature not. Well, not as immature.

At first I was going to generally agree with everyone here and say that you shouldn't of done it, but then I realized something.

If you are playing a game for status, you are doing it wrong.

Personally when I play games it's for the experience. Sure a little extra wealth, better equipment, or rare stuff gives you something to be proud of, but I would rather have my experiences, something that can't be taken away.

When I used to play Neopets I never understood the point. I didn't find taking care of fake animals fun, nor the attainment of wealth. Before I realized how boring it was I just never fed my pets (hey, they don't die) and made mass NP grinding on my dial up connection.

(I guess a similar metaphorical situation would be after two years of playing Blockland, and after saving everything you've ever made, having someone steal the saves from you. I know you can't really steal them, but just for the sake of the argument, pretend they can.)

This event will fire a rocket randomly in the air from every brick named "Launch" every three seconds until the button is pressed.

Press the button to start the rockets, and press it again to stop them.
