My first night was tricky [it was 1.3_01]. I knew at the time I had to punch down trees. I did this, and after that, I made my li'l den near a mountain. Then I was all like, "Oh my gosh, I need coal to light up my house!" What I didn't know was that you can cook logs into charcoal. I panicked so much, I ran far away from home, then it was nighttime. Nearby, there was a steep mountain. I tried to dig it out and sleep near the top (very narrow mountain, like a 1x1-sized top) and went to sleep in there, only to be woken up by a creeper explosion. Then, I ragequitted for the rest of the day.
