Modification Help / Re: models into weapons
« on: May 17, 2007, 04:04:57 PM »
Ladios, I would post some weapons, but your basically doing NOTHING for the person but putting little bits of code in the weapon.
Also, I have no idea how to flat shade models, nor place joints.
So I could place the code by myself actually, I just need to find someone who would place the joints for me and flat shade it..actually, forget about the whole thing. =/

Modification Help / Re: Making Vehicle MODEL* Tips.

Don't know if your still trying to make a vehicle, but there are joints that you have to place on your model, each joint has a different name, each joint does different things, I don't know all the names for each joint.
I used to, but gave up model ling due to Milkshape being complicated for me.

no, your just hosting a server.
If you would like to join your own dedicated server, you would do it the same way as you would join any other server.

A dedicated server is just like any other server, except you don't actually have to be in it in order for it to run.
Just click  Dedicated.bat(ch?) and a command prompt type of window open up, and starts a server for you with your default settings.
There are commands you can use for the prompt window to interact with the people on your server.
You server will stay up as long as that window stays open, and your internet connection is active.
Also, be sure not turn off you pc  :cookieMonster:

Gmod has maps where, well , no terrain? you make a map, than there is a sky box, you go out of the skybox, it get's all weird and shiz.
(you can only go out of skybox if you use "unclip" basically like F8 for Blockland)

Don't just disable it, delete it from your add-ons folder.

lol, I'm not turning into Gmod, I'm just trying to port a .bsp file into Blockland format, I'm sure no one wants to work their ass off to try and make a map like that.
And it's just a map, but people are suggesting things like an AK that shoots babies, that is completely out of place for a game like Blockland, so far the only person that has been coming up with more Blockland friendly mods is Kaje.

This is the intrawebz, it's filled with mean anonymous ass holes and spam bots.
Also, I've seen much meaner than that, than again, I don't get offended that easily over the iternet.

Help / Re: might not be on for a while
« on: May 16, 2007, 05:16:12 PM »
I don't think it's quite possible to over mod a game, unless your computer is running low on space, yet you keep on downloading addons.
Another reason, is that some addon could be working improperly, so when Blockland performs a check in the console for every addon, it crashes because of that add on.
Than again, I know nothing about this topic, and I might be wrong.

Mapping Help / Re: Converting Hammer

Sorry for sort of reviving this thread, but, I have looked into BSP2MAP, and I can't get it to work, it's usually a .zip that contains an .exe and a readme, I have no idea what the readme is telling me, so if you guys maybe gave me some step by step instructions that would be great, and I would give you a present!
Thanks.

Anyone please help?

If I knew how to work the BSP2MAP converter I would have gladly converted it for you, but sadly, no one is telling me how to work it.
