A lot of people actually believe it was a hoax. It's scary living in this post truth era, to be honest. Nothing can be proven anymore, and even if it is, you can still deny it without any backlash it seems

What, the acquisition of speech or abstract thinking? Hawking is being misleading with that quote. Neither were instantaneous in fact.
not the quote itself just the whole ultimate theory.

time to quick ruin:
Proved by S C I E N C E someday the dark energy will either run out and the entier universe will crunch into a black hole or the dark energy will stay the same or get higher and everything will go as fast as light and the universe cannot create matter.
what do you mean by quick ruin? This doesn't really explain anything about what I'm pondering on. also nothing is really "proven" in science, it's all just supported or not supported.

Well they're doing a HORRID job of it imo

Quote
For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imaginations, we learned to talk.
-Stephen Hawking
It's all so mysterious to me. Why us? Was it truly and fully spontaneous? Are there limitations on the human mind and senses that don't allow us to see the bigger picture?

homegrown extremists are a pretty big issue
ban travel from the united states to the united states
Instead of a travel ban there should be something where authorities lurk online and try to fake-recruit potential terrorists. We can make a show out of it and call it to catch a terrorist lmao

No I think Rally is just a part of the majority population who has never had a chance to explore the world and talk to people face to face that challenge his ideas. We want to believe he's a troll but he really and truly thinks Muslims are coming to kill him and change his way of life in Kentucky. He sees the issue in a binary way and can't comprehend that almost no issue on earth is like this at all.

Everyday while I'm doing some random activity, I remember that we're all just living on a giant sphere, floating in an unexplored universe that's expanding by the second. We have no clue why we are really here, and not one of us really actually knows the reason or has a means of finding that reason. We all settle for ideas, theories, and myths that half heartedly answer these questions, then purposefully push it all to the back of our minds because it is too much to even start thinking about. We divide ourselves up and try to establish superiority but not one of us has a real answer to it. It's just a matter of the loudest voice gets to be the leader. The dude with the biggest stick wins and we listen to whoever is holding it. All the thoughts, emotions, memories that you have EVER had are all fit neat and tightly in a ~1200 cubic centimeter organ called the brain. The complexities of the activities we do are all a series of reactions in this brain and throughout the body, but in the end that's all they are, reactions. Does anyone else ever think of this, or has everyone just settled on not wanting to know?

What are your ideas on the big questions of life forums? Are we here for a reason? Do we have souls? Or are we all just here as some kind of forgeted up science experiment?

It seems that the more we know, the more lost we become.

I have no clue what this show is but I'm loving how it's pissing off all the "white genocide" people. As if racism affects any of your stuffty lives.

Off Topic / Re: [NEWS] Mosque in Quebec is attacked by gunmen

Look at this thread. Look at all these loving xenophobes suddenly shut up. A right wing terror attack happens on a place of worship and this is what you have to say? Some lunatic walks into a mosque as people (including the elderly and children) are mid-prayer, and starts gunning them down, and this is what your reactions are? This just goes to show the deep hatred in people's hearts towards those who are different. You are all the same forgetwads who see each and every issue on this Earth as black and white, good and evil. Where in reality, everything is one big grey mess of absolute stuff. Thanks for showing us all how handicapped you all are. This seriously frustrates me.

people who don't believe in climate change probably think we're claiming it's going to raise to 50 degrees in the next 100 years and make life on earth unsuitable. no, that is not the case, but denying the direct correlation between carbon in the atmosphere and temperature is just silly

what nobody seems to understand is that most of the life that exists within the equatorial regions of the world, like in rainforests, have a very small niche that they can survive in. about 50% of all living things exist in rainforests, despite the fact that rainforests only cover about 6% of the earths surface. A change in climate of 1-2 degrees Celsius would be devastating for many of them. An increase of 4 degrees would be estimated to wipe out ~2/3 of ALL plant species and ~1/3 of ALL mammals. Not to mention the mass migration of animals away from the equator that's bound to happen with time, along with the mass drought, famine, flooding. These are very credible threats that our children will have to face. But it's easier to do nothing about it cause, "hur forgetin dur, it ain't my problem if it doesn't affect me now! I'm just gonna ignore everything around me and forget the world up cause I'm a human and I can!"

Also any handicap who tries bringing up the "hurr 97% percent of clymit siensizts agree" argument is a loving handicap and only makes it worse.

This is probably the stupidest thing I've read all day. What the flying forget happened to the blockland forums? People used to call out mentally challenged stuff bags like this instead of just letting their tinfoil hat wearing asses say whatever comes to their mind. What "makes it worse" are little worms like you, who put their biases and gut feelings over the 2 ton mound of evidence in front of their noses.

Good
They will either die or get raped and die
Altrough I doubt even CIA who forgets goats will forget an SJW
wait hold up. Why is it "good" that they will eventually die? What is it that has condemned these people in your little mind to rape and death? It's amazing the hostility people with honest and good intentions receive in this day and age.

Republican building burned down by hilldog supporters.

Old homeless women beat by hillary supporters.

Annoying Orange nearly assassinated by an alleged Bernie sanders supporter, was actually a hillary clinton supporter. Trying to get both Annoying Orange and bernie out of the race.

Hillary supporter ruins Annoying Orange's star.

Hillary supporters block traffic and prevent an ambulance from getting somewhere.

And now you're loving telling me a Annoying Orange supporter burned down a church, sprayed "vote Annoying Orange" hoping Annoying Orange gets more votes.

YEAH loving RIGHT!
I don't think it's all Hillary supporters, it could also be anti Annoying Orange supporters. If anything this could have been the anti Annoying Orange GOP trying to make Annoying Orange supporters look really bad. And to be fair, it's not like Annoying Orange supporters don't already make themselves look bad enough, like the one that yelled "Jew -S-A" at the press recently or the countless other cases of degeneracy. I was at a rally here the other day when Annoying Orange JR came to my college AND I was at the Hillary rally last night and watched her speak. The vast swaths of Annoying Orangeites trying to incite anger was unbelievable, yelling tribal comments at latinos and Muslims and wearing shirts that say things like "black lives don't matter." And if that isn't the case, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some dipstuff deplorable did this, there are enough wackos out there who I could see doing it. Annoying Orange has said before that he "loves the poorly educated" after all. And oh yeah didn't a kool kids klub newspaper just endorse him as well? I'm actually a bit surprised to see the bl forums leaning toward Annoying Orange a bit.

Worst terrorist attack? It depends on what you define as a terrorist. You could argue that anything was a terrorist attack (atom bombings on Japan, 9/11, the holocaust). A big problem that exists today is that many  people seem to think that terrorism has a defined image.
