The truth? I have probably 3-4 Zelda games, and have only made it past the first dungeon. :D (Including TP and OoT)

Here's an item icon to use for the Hookshot:

Great stuff guys, but we need to put some limitations on this bad boy.  Things like only being able to hook-shot to special hookshot bricks, and limiting the distance of how far it could travel.

BOTH of those added in this new version! :D Tons more info in the readme. For the swing on special bricks, use the Hook-wand and make it an Sbrick. And use /HookshotMode to toggle between hook-shotting on anything or just Sbricks. Model also included from Kaje. Oh, and one more lil' thing...if you shoot something while in a vehicle, it pulls the vehicle now :D!

Cool. *takes model*

As for the suggestions by Trader...only being able to hook shot onto special bricks? The one I had on my server in RTB could do that easily. I can do that in here, but...I need to port the wand as well then. Hmm...*looks for a model to use for the wand*
And err, the distance? Thats easy, but I really don't want to. :D

@Kaje: Neat, that looks great! :D (Geez, I wish I had Milkshape xD)

Hmm, anyone got a chain for the trail? :P

Go ahead, I'd have made some neat lil' weapon and a trail to go with it myself, but I'm not very expirience'd with graphical stuffs with weapons, and I can't make models. :P

Like from Zelda :D! Shoot something, be pulled to it. Had it for a while, finally decided to release it...uses the bow models and such so it doesn't require downloading any models and junk. Enjoy, lemme know if thars errors. More info in the readme. (Just extract to BLR folder, readme will be in BLR folder)

And no pics, because it's just the bow, and it's hard to take a picture of you flying around at high speeds with no apparent reason. :D (And if you really want something, I can get fraps again and make some random crappy movie thing)

Note: If you have problems please tell me.

Modification Help / Re: Invalid Packeting

I also replaced the "~/shapes/bla" Stuff with "./shapes/bla".

I'll attatch the new cs file (I also made it use the bow textures). And it runs fine for me, it's just the connection problems I mentioned...

Okay...
1. I tried checking and comparing with the Bow script, and added a bit and took a bit out...nope. I also replaces the "~/shapes/bla" Stuff with "./shapes/bla".
2. Err, ok. Tried that. The entire three new files are in correct places...I think.

And I have absolutely no expirience with scripting weapons, except sometimes adding stuff to collisions and firing. So the only thing I really know is the structure.

Modification Help / Invalid Packeting
« on: March 02, 2007, 11:58:00 AM »
Okay, so I decided to port over this here crossbow from RTB, althought I've modded it so it works like the Hookshot from Zelda. Worked perfect when I played it in RTB. It works almost flawlessly, and is still a bit incomplete, but theres one major problem that keeps occuring: someone joins, plays around with it just fine. They leave, then rejoin, then start getting invalid packets and are unable to spawn at all. A tester for me said the error was something like (Invalid Packet:1). I have pretty much no experience with invalid packets, so I decided to post for help. Link  to the uncompleted Hookshot. Readme included. (Don't use it for playing on your server, just test it, as the error I mentioned will probably happen)

Modification Help / Re: Auto Save
« on: March 01, 2007, 07:49:16 PM »
No, I don't think it's possible without knowing the save function...if you know it, just make a schedule that calls a function that saves, and recall it every hour or whenever.

If I knew the save function, I'd do it. But I don't, so I won't. :D
