There's about 1/4 of the pictures on the safe for work site as there are on the research one. You sick forgets.So what? That's still a pretty large number of non-researchographic furry art (~100,000 pictures)

-snip-furries are technically fans of animals or animal-like characters, prime examples being most disney characters and the like. therefore it can be considered a fandom.
