A fun, new, and exciting take on Snipers vs Runners

What is this?

This is a new gamemode that has been in development for the last few months. There are two teams - Guards (Runners) and Snipers. The guards are tasked with bringing gold to the end of the quest. They must make it through three levels while snipers try to keep them from reaching the end. Guards also have the option to choose how much gold they want to bring. Just go to the treasure room and load up! However if you are killed all the gold you carry goes to the snipers, so only bring a lot if you think you can make it! Upon finishing the trek, guards will deposit their gold in the team bank and be awarded EXP depending on how much gold they finished with. The max amount of gold they can carry is directly proportional to their EXP. Higher EXP - Higher limit. There are also team levels. Once your team reaches a certain amount of gold in the bank the whole team will be upgraded. Details on team levels are below in the topic. 1) King now grants items to guards
2) Smaller Players
3) Faster Players

Sniper Upgrades
1) Explosive Barrels
2) Faster Firing Speed
3) One Rocket Shot

Server Rules

Do not spam in any form.
Do not try to escape the map / go out of bounds. This will cause problems with the gamemode.
Report any abusive players, admins, glitches, events, etc.
Use common sense and show everyone respect.

What's up people, you will ski, you will die, and its a paradise for both! Welcome to death skiing paradise. Here you can do whatever you want on skis, then face the consequences! There is a large mountain with dangerous jumps, hoops of fire, and random brick walls, all for your convenience of course. Stop on by and try it out, but don't get hauled home in a coffin! Featuring a large ski lodge surrounded by different hills and challenges, you can play for hours.

When approching ramps while skiing, pull up with your mouse to avoid crashing

General Discussion / Temple Treasure Server

What is it?

There are two teams. The goal is to collect gold in the map and bring it back to your team's chest. If you die you drop any treasures you may carry. First team to 8,000 gold wins! Oh, you can also steal from the other team!


Why did i make it?

Literally the only reason this server exists is because of the overwhelming amount of people wanting new stuff, like look how much there is

- More unique and fun servers to play

Host better servers.

Servers need to have more creativity

a bunch of consistently hosted good servers
they have to be good, they have to be hosted consistently, they have to be administrated well
they shouldn't use too many add-ons or the loading time gets too long, and the player count need some sort of a limit, like 16 players, so the overflow can go to others.

Make new, original servers and get rid of the crappy servers that will give new players bad impressions of the game.

Gallery / Temple Island (Download it!)

This is a default island I made for the Halloween server. It features a large and small temple with bamboo and other trees.  Took about a week to make total. This will also be released again with the official Halloween build, but i wanted to share just my island as well because I worked hard on it. Also unlike 90% of other gallery topics, this build will be up for download. Feel free to rate i guess, love to hear opinions.

Help / Game wont launch [post r1955]

After updating the game, steam wont launch the game and shows this message



i then tried to launch directly from the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Blockland\Blockland.exe

and i got this message



I attempted to run as administrator and got the same message
i then tried to "verify the integrity of the game cache" through steam and it says all files are verified.

The game never launched and i never joined any servers so don't have a launcher or console log

Server Trailer

Intro blerb
Hey guys, so after hostnig dogfight like all summer, it got boring. So i decided to embark on a new server..prison riot tdm. In this new server there are two teams, swat, and prisoners. They fight for control of the prison. Its basically a giant jail escape with no bullstuff.


Gameplay
Basically how it works, is that there are 5 capture points. The spawns for swat and prisoners, and 3 points in between. To win the game, the prisoners have to capture all 5 points in order to "take over the prison". And for swat to win they need to do that same, except in reverse order so they can "suppress the riot". In order to make capturing points more valuable than killing enemies, your team cannot move forward in the build unless the capture point is owned by your team. This should solve the problem of morons walking past the cap shooting people instead of capping.
