well if that mode is going to exist, then once activated that should void the warranty. because again any idiot can get into the mode and do something stupid to break the phone then cry to apple for help
apple tried to make its os fool proof from idiots so it saves them the trouble of hearing complains. in order to do this youre going to have to lose a lot of customizability. you cant have both, pick one

listen here. most stuff is blocked from usage for an average user because apple does not want you to break your phone then complain to them. they lock down on a lot of things that can easily forget up your phone. thats why jailbreaking is a warranty void. if it breaks, they dont want to be held liable because certain forgettards will go to great lengths to get a free new phone (see: iphone 4 explodes, guy wants iphone 5 replacement and gets angry when offered a new iphone 4 by apple)
