Is there any way to combat screen tearing?
Yes. Turn off V-sync.

Help / Re: cannot verify your blockland id
« on: August 21, 2015, 08:12:28 PM »
The only thing I can possibly think is going on here is you're inputting your key incorrectly.
When you type your key in, make sure EVERY letter/number is correct. Double and triple check.

A very common issue is people mistake Z for 2 and S for 5, as well as others, if the key is written down on paper.
If it is written on paper, you can retrieve your key here to double check what's written down.

Help / Re: Anybody know the link to the Rock and Roll Mcdonalds song?
« on: August 21, 2015, 08:07:27 PM »
This belongs in Suggestions & Requests.

The original download link on MediaFire has expired: rock and roll mcdonalds.
You'll either have to find another version somewhere on the internet and convert it to a .ogg yourself, or ask someone else to do so in Suggestions & Requests.

Help / Re: HELP! black bars on the side of my game
« on: August 21, 2015, 08:02:19 PM »
exactly, but is there a way to change it how it was before that made it fill up the whole screen when it wasn't native?
No, there isn't.
Obviously, Windows 10 has made it so that instead of stretching the image, it puts in the black bars to retain the aspect ratio.

There are only two ways to fix this, neither of which actually "stretch" the image like you want:
1. Stop bitching about your FPS and set your resolution to 1366x768.
2. Play in windowed mode.

If you had a monitor with a more standard resolution (ex: 1920x1080, 1280x960, 1280x720), you could just set your resolution to something lower that has the same aspect ratio, therefore maintaining FPS and eliminating the black bars at the same time. But you don't. So...pick what you want to do.

Help / Re: "Server could not verify your Blockland ID"

A console.log would be helpful.
Although the problem could be server-sided.

Help / Re: Can't Verify Blockland ID
« on: August 11, 2015, 06:09:26 PM »
Probably another computer is running blockland with your BL_ID logged in.
Even if another computer was, it wouldn't matter.
I used to share my account with my brother and we'd often join servers at the same time with no issues.

Help / Re: Help, I can't join Vault-Brick's Server.
« on: August 11, 2015, 06:08:02 PM »
You need to give us more information.
What happens when you try to join?
Does it actually say that there was a problem joining?
Does it just say "Sending punch packet..." over and over again?

And it's likely that the problem is with the server, not you. So there's probably nothing you can do to fix it.

Help / Re: Minigame events won't work unless i'm in the slayer minigame.

Mini-game events are an add-on.
You should either inform the maker of your problem or move this to Modification Discussion.

Help / Re: Dedicated server crashing after 10~ minutes
« on: August 10, 2015, 07:21:43 PM »
There are three main factors that play a part in making everyone that plays on your server lag a lot.

The first issue is your internet speed.
If you want your server to be free of lag, you MUST have fast internet. And the server can't be hosted over Wi-Fi. The computer your hosting it on MUST be connected through ethernet, because Wi-Fi is actually pretty loving slow. If you don't have a fast internet connection, everyone else will just be lagging out because their connection to your server is slow due to your slow internet.

The second issue is RAM.
RAM is basically the memory your computer uses. No, I don't mean space on a hard drive. I mean it's the data that your computer is processing while your hosting the server. If you don't have enough of RAM (preferably 8GB or more), your computer won't be able to process much at one time and your server will act very slow as a result.

The third issue is running the server on the same computer that you use to play Blockland on.
This also kind of ties into the RAM issue. If your trying to play Blockland on the same computer that's running your server while your server is running, your server will act much slower. The only way to fix this issue is to run your server on a completely separate computer from the one you use to play video games.

So, to recap. If you want your server to run smoothly, you must have a fast internet connection, at least 8GB of RAM, and you must run the server on a completely separate computer from the one you use to play games on. Even if you choose not to follow just one of these rules, your server could suffer greatly as a result.

If you are unable to get faster internet, more RAM, or another computer, then I suggest buying a dedicated server host. Otherwise, you'll have to live with the lag.

Also, the reason you can't connect to your own server is because, since the server is being run from YOUR computer, you have to hit "query LAN" before joining. This is also true if another computer in your house is running a server that you wish to join.

Help / Re: How can I change the spraycan label?
« on: August 10, 2015, 05:26:39 PM »
Set the image to read-only.
This works.

However, be careful when changing the default textures.
Quote from: Badspot
If you do that, you WILL forget up the game.  What's going to happen is I'm going to have to make an update to one of the default add-ons and it's not going to work and everyone is going to blame me when it is really 100% your dumbass fault.  All I want to be able to do is update my own goddamn loving addons and friends like you ruin it all because you can't be bothered to learn how to program stuff properly.  Go ahead and do it but don't be surprised when future versions of the game tell you to forget off because your files are read-only.

Help / Re: How do i get Windows 10.
« on: August 10, 2015, 04:49:13 PM »
You gotta have windows 7, or windows 8.1

Regular windows 8 doesn't get supported.
If you have either of those two, you can get it free.
Otherwise, you have to pay for Windows 10.

To install it, just download the .msi on Windows' website and run the installer.

Help / Re: My music won't appear ingame
« on: August 10, 2015, 04:40:22 PM »
1. Make sure the file size is under 1MB.
2. Make sure that the sound type is mono, not stereo.
3. Make sure you named the sound file with NO SPACES.
