There are couple of add-ons that were made by Dalek a while ago and released on RTB...ONLY RTB.

Since RTB is gone now, there are few of his add-ons that I need access to a copy of for a small project I'm working on. I would send him PM, but his profile page says that he hasn't been active for well over two years.

Here are the add-ons that I need a copy of:
Basic LEGO blasters
LEGO Star Wars Extra Melee
Advanced Lego Blasters
LEGO Knights Weapons
LEGO bowcaster
Lego Power Miners Equiptment

Yes, they are all Lego based add-ons. Please don't question why I need specifically THEM.

If you have copy of any of them and can supply me with a download, that would be nice. And please, don't give me any "alternative" bull-crap. I'd prefer to have the originals.

I'll be honest, I don't expect or really even want Badspot to release anymore updates. Better vehicle physics would be nice, but we don't need anything more.

Besides, this game has been in development for just over 10 years, plus however long Badspot spent before its beta release working on making the game work. I'm surprised Badspot kept working on the game as long as he did. He deserves a break. He should move on.

Imagine if you were stuck working on the same project for 10 loving years.

Nevermind, I think I get it now.

Here's your problem:
Brick ownership is saved from the bottom brick upward. So, if you have six bricks built on top of each other with the bottom one placed by you and the other five placed by me, only your ownership is saved because your brick was on the bottom. So when the save is loaded, all six bricks load as if they are all your's.

That's what's happening when you save the bricks. They are being loaded as public because they were built on top of terrain was set as public.

I wish that I could get you a fix for it, but I can't. Ephialtes has at some point made a per-brick ownership save/loader for RTB hosting, but since RTB's been shut down, it probably can't be retrieved now.

Well, I've been playing this game for eight years. While it appears as though everyone else has covered most things, I'll create a quick little list.

Things you should be weary of:
  • Do not use emotes of the forums ( :cookie: :cookieMonster: :panda: :iceCream: :nes: ). It seems like new people think they're currency.
  • Avoid asking for administrator on servers. Administrator is a big deal and should not be taken lightly.
  • Do not join "RP" servers. Just trust me...
  • Stay out of the drama section of these forums. It's where happiness here goes to die.
  • If this game ends up with more people after you, do not brag about having a low "BL_ID". This has gotten me in trouble before.
  • Do not host a freebuild server. People will spam the hell out of it and you'll end up wanting to kill yourself.
  • If a server has "rules", make sure you read them carefully. There a lot of strict administrators out there.
  • Stay away from Kalphiter's New Year Party when it comes around. You're FPS will be brutally murdered.
  • If a server has the words "free admin" or "spam party" in the title, STAY THE forget AWAY!
  • Don't spam servers in the chat or with tons of bricks. You'll end up being banned from a lot of servers.
  • There is something called the "hump bug" where your keyboard locks up and you're stuck in a humping motion. DON'T DO IT!
  • Don't type in these annoying ways: "TYPING LIKE THIS IN ALL CAPS", "Typing Like This In All Upper Case", "n tiepin liok a babee".
  • Just simply try not to piss people off or you will receive a long essay in response here on the forums.
  • You probably won't know what i'm talking about, but don't complain about terrains being removed. They're never coming back.
  • Yes, joining a lot of server requires waiting for the download of datablocks. Just be patient or you will not be able to join any servers at all.

There are couple more things I could mention, but it's late where I am and I'm tired.

People need to understand that terrains were not removed because of the addition of shadows. Badspot said himself that "maps" were simply an optional feature that came with Torque and were honestly pretty crappy. They had terrible collision with vehicles, they had the worst look/textures/quality to EVER, and pretty much every time something was added to the game, they always got in the way and Badspot had to work really hard to get around them. Plus, there was that TERRIBLY ANNOYING bug where the slopes looked pink...PINK!

In a nut shell, terrains simply looked/acted badly and caused tons of problems with debugging. We could actually have both terrains and shadows, but that's not why they were removed. They were simply a piece of crap.

Terrains are gone.
They are not coming back.

There is no point in this.

People need to get this through their tiny little heads.

Put it in your addons folder
Doesn't work. You have to have some sort of RTB replacement installed as well.
But even some RTB replacement are not guaranteed to be the best or even work at all.

You might want to find some other RTB replacement or remove it all together. The "CRC list" (a list of add-ons that are specifically banned by Badspot for many possible reasons) isn't liking what you have.

Either you got this add-on from some idiot who decided renaming it works or from a creator who has no idea what he's doing. Consider getting rid of it.

I've recently started playing this game again, and after gaining some experience with programming, I decided to attempt some add-on making. Only one problem. I can't figure out how to open a .dts file or export a model as one. I've installed Shaper like some old posts I found said, but not even Shaper will open one.

So I've come to realize...
I attempted to leave for two reasons, the main being that the game sort of became a huge addiction and distracted me from other games. But, it was a needed break. I've now sort of "branched out". Can't be a true "gamer" if all you play is one game.
