i'll accept anything that isn't outrageous or ends the adventure suddenly (Self Delete, world ending, super god like stuff etc.)

Off Topic / Avatar Help

I need help with changing my avatar for the forums. I know sometimes it takes a while to show up, but this time I don't think it's that. When I try to change my avatar to the one I want, it stays as the big boom psgpfsafppesf one. When I change it to another old avatar, it changes immediately (to the old one). When I try to change it back to the one I want, it changes back to the big boom one. I'm not sure if the big boom one is just a place holder for the new one or what. So, help please?nvm just fixed itself.

I was born in Peru, not exactly sure where in it but I would think in the eastern area of the country or Lima.

Off Topic / Steam Big Picture keeps opening up randomly

For some reason Big Picture is opening up at random times, sometimes when regular steam opens up. I don't even click on the icon. Is there a way to stop this?

I don't know why I waited this long to post, but yesterday the whole 8th grade meet with an Holocaust survivor  Edith M. Cord. It was preety cool. She even wrote a book and has her own website.

Off Topic / My computer is being an starfish.

My computer can't do stuff now. When I tried to run a program, it takes 5~ minutes to launch, and when I finally get it running, it goes on and off on responding. My internet is being slow (not really my computer but too bad I'm frustrated) and my browser goes kaput when i try to browse YouTube. I forced my browser to close then it refused to open up even though it said it was running. I had to force shut down my computer because it was too busy trying to close the non-existent program it said that I was running, and nothing changed after I turned it back on. Other programs work fine but don't respond for awhile if you click out of it or press a button that brings you out of the window. Earlier when I tried to play Blockland it froze, lagged and then ran again at random times, even out of a server. The fan won't slow and cool down and (again with the internet) it takes about 10 seconds to click a link or go back/forward a page. I want to run a scan but my computer can barley handle it, and with a short scan all it comes up is tracking cookies.

Basically I'm asking what's wrong with my computer.

I'm making a mod for a game called DEFCON, and I want to have your guys opinions on the way this looks.

I'm trying to merge Mexico to the rest of North America.

How does it look so far? Any suggestions to improve? I'm also having trouble making the areas on the ocean, could anyone help me with that? (Also I'm not sure if this would really belong in games)

I'm just wondering about this, but sometimes when I make a big edit to my posts, it doesn't say I edited it below my post; but when I correct a spelling mistake, it shows the edit notification. Does this happen to anyone else?

Well, I was playing Garry's Mod, then suddenly it went black and my screen turned sideways. I mean everything, task bar, windows, everything. Now, anyone know how yo fix this? Is it a key command or something I need to change in the control pannel? I have Windows 7 Home if that's any help.

Off Topic / How do I deal with this person at school?

Well, to start off, I'm Catholic, and this guy's Atheist (Or "Pastafarian" as he says). I'm going to disclose names so you'll just see their beliefs instead. Also, the guy who is the main problem doesn't know I'm Catholic.

Now to actually start off. The Atheist been at our school for awhile, and he was kind of my friend. He hangs out with some acquaintances I have regularly, but during P.E. he hangs out with one of my friends more often (Also Atheist). He was fine until a couple of days ago. We were doing this warm-up walk around the gym, and then suddenly he starts talking how Religion can be so poorly proved. All he says is that a 2000-year old book doesn't really prove anything and that he could call anything Holy. Sense my other friend is also Atheist, he partially agrees with him. I am offended a little by this, but they quickly change the subject to Minecraft. He continues this for every P.E. class that I'm there also saying that some Religious events are caused by Aliens. Then a couple of days ago, he starts talking about "The Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster". He points out how it was made, to show a point of how made-up Religion could be. A little after that, I come into the gym and his usual group is arguing with him about being against Catholics and Christians in general. I shrug it off as the announcements appear on the Television. Then, last week, he was arguing again of how made up and stupid it is, and now he's rubbing it in the faces of other Catholics (not me as I stated before he doesn't know that I'm Catholic). He states that "Catholicism can not be spelled without cult" (obviously it's wrong). Now he's really getting on my nerves. Now, 2 days ago, he starts saying stuff like "Who wasn't actually a Virgin, Mary" and stuff like that. He still doesn't know that I'm Catholic, and continues this in front of me. I thought he would have enough common sense not to abuse the freedom of speech to offend others.

Now, here's another problem with this. I really want to tell him that I'm Catholic, and that he can believe what he can believe and let us believe what we believe. But for some reason I can't. I can get just really shy or something, even in front of people I know. It's not exactly shyness sense I can be around them, but I just can't say anything to them to defend a point.

Got any idea what I could do Blockland Forums?

Off Topic / Schools around my area has shooting threat.

Well, today I found out that there has been threats of shootings at some schools in our area (Frederick County, Maryland), and one of them is mine.  There has been two police walking around the school, looking for anything suspicious, but I have no knowledge of anyone being called up. The teachers didn't seem to worry about it, even when confronted with the topic, so I guess they're taking this a little lightly and predict that it's just to scare us (which I think what it is). Either way, I'm going to talk to my dad about it, to see what he'll think about it. What really seems weird to me about this though is that the "shooting" is supposed to happen tomorrow, the 21st, and that basically gives it away if it's not true. Anyway, I just felt the need to post this. I'm also really paranoid that I'm going to get sniped walking to school, since I walk in a wide open area.
