like i said in the other thread kiwifarms was fun for more obscure people but otherwise was kind of a waste of time. there were already quite a few lolcow type websites up for years before it got taken down though. rDrama.net is the one i check every few months. plus a stuff ton of subreddits dedicated for a specific person. this culture is never gonna die, people like gossip too much.

kiwifarms was always a nice way to see if that 40 year old obese man you found half naked online regularly made a fool of himself or not. oh well.

i just use it for private group chats. if i join a big server it's usually for niche and specific communities, everything else is for friends. half the problem with public servers is that they're full of children who i don't want to farking talk to

yeah i've explained this place to a few people online, never in person though, don't know any other people irl who really give a stuff about internet culture.

of the people i've explained this place to, a few people heard of blockland before and some have even heard about the forums. if you meet someone who's into that lolcow and internet drama stuff there's a good chance they might know about the forums just from kiwifarms. but most of the time it's just me laughing at how forgeted this place was really. it still baffles me how much drama could come out of such a small forum for a niche-ish game that's really more aimed at children than the teens and adults that actually played it.

the last time i went fishing it was with a block of wood, a line, and a hook in south america.

i've been wanting to get a license for maryland to sit in the bay and fish, but first i want to get a canoe, and it'd probably be better to wait till i move out of central west virginia and closer to central maryland. not planning on changing states though, makes it a bit tough

i don't understand the gun hobby, like genuinely. could someone kindly explain it to me? collecting stuff is cool, little machines are cool, but is that all there is to it? obviously you can shoot le gun but i get the feeling that the novelty would wear out after a little while.
tons of people collect stuff, i just prefer these over plastic figurines. and most of what i have share the same basic action modern bolt guns use, for all it's worth i could be mister bubba deer slayer showing off his hunting rifles. besides that, i have no interest in generic civilian model AR number 7000. i collect surplus, which is both accessible history and history that i'm comfortable hoarding moreso than actual artifacts, and even then, i only collect what's interesting to me, what pertains to me (my home country's history), and what's personal to me (what my father and grandfather's would've used). plus with how expensive ammo is now shooting these is almost a second thought over just having the rifle itself. not like i'd pay for a deactivated firearm though, that's a paperweight.

it's not like it's my only hobby.  if i weren't collecting these, i'd probably be collecting various foreign instruments. i mean i still want to do that, but instruments are expensive, and i don't really have the time to learn a bunch of them.

Does it have a safety or no? There's no pic of the safety side,

No safety, I was actually surprised that there wasn't. Even AIMSurplus said there might be one but I guess I got lucky and got an earlier import. The first thing I planned to do when I got it was remove the safety switch but I guess I don't have to lol.

Anyways might as well post most of what I got since it'll be a little bit before I get anything else.

Rifles from top:
1951/1953 Soviet SKS
1942 or '43 Japanese Arisaka Type 99
1944 Soviet M44 Mosin Carbine
Modelo 1909 Peruvian Mauser
Modelo 1935 Peruvian FN Mauser Short Rifle
1937 M91/30 Mosin
Modelo 1891 Peruvian Mauser Carbine

Then there's the 1944 Nagant Revolver and again the 1983 or '84 Norinco Type 54.
Not pictures is my M&P Shield, CETME C parts kit, and the beginning of my M16A1 parts kit.
Hopefully by the end of the year I'll finally have an SVT-40. Crossing my fingers that life doesn't forget me over.

Btw you know you can get a 9mm barrel for them and switch between in practically the blink of an eye.
I knew that there was a 9mm conversion but I didn't realize you could just swap out the barrels for them. Will have to keep that in mind. I am planning on getting a PPS-43 in 7.62x25 and you can't really just swap barrels out on them so I might have some more 7.62x25 than I know what to do with, but I also do have a bunch of 9mm sitting around that I don't use.

it's real type 54 hours

Either a 1983 or 1984 manufacture, no production year is stamped so I had to go by serial number. the chart my chinese acquaintance sent me points to '83 but from what i found online says it'd be a '84.

though i already have a 1951/53 soviet SKS i'm thinking about getting a chinese one from bud's, i like chinese stuff and sharing it with the guy i just mentioned. might get a chinese mosin too but i already have the m44 like i said earlier. a real grail gun would be a chinese arisaka, though i need to get a type 38 and a last ditch 99 before i search for that.

aw forget. i played basically all of his maps when i still only had the demo version of the game. really helped get pass the brick limit. gonna have to go revisit them soon. sad to hear about this.
That's really sad; I enjoyed reading the bible verses he integrated into his V20 map descriptions...He's home now.
i also forgot about these, resurfaced some summer memories.

i got a m44 last year, very fun to shoot. the m38 seems cool but idk if i can justify getting one if i already have a m44 and a m91/30, unless if i really just want a mosin carbine without a bayonet.
was also thinking about getting a FAL but i'll have to see after i get all my M16A1 parts and get my CETME C built.
