The name sounds familiar, but I can't really remember who he is.

Off Topic / Old Cartoon Factory Music?
« on: March 27, 2012, 10:34:24 PM »
Does anyone remember that music that would play in some cartoons? Whenever something was being built or there was a factory there was that catchy tune. It was never used in just one show, multiple cartoons would use it. It was kind of the music version of the "Wilhelm Scream," so to say.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about, or know what this little tune is called?

I watched Entry 1 and was a bit freaked out and...
I couldn't even make it past 1 minute on Entry 2, but I really wanna watch. Does stuff jump out randomly sometimes during some of these videos, or is it very subtle and just kind of creepy?
Mostly just subtle and creepy. You'll usually see him in the background when you don't expect it, and it's unnerving. No jump scares, it kind of builds up the suspense and surprises you. Entry #1 is a perfect example.

I was hoping it was more of an Anti-Aliasing thing, it removed the jagged edges, but everything was a bit "muddy." It was more of a real-time smudge effect. I'll just keep it off, looks better when everything is clear, it's worth the slightly jagged edges.

Horrifyingly mutilated corpses of various descriptions, "Monsters" I guess you could call some of them, people trying to kill me or those around me, but the most frequent of all is a sort of "blood" dripping down over my vision and then it all goes black for a few minutes and I can't see.

The "people trying to kill me", it's obvious you are aware they are fake, so do you just ignore them and everything is okay, or if they actually "attack" you, will your brain really think you are being attacked and think you're dead?

Kind of a "If you die in your dreams, you die in real-life," Freddy Krueger scenario.

I have schizophrenia. Your point?

That explains a lot.

EDIT: I love how interested the little brother is in the camera.

I remember seeing a thread containing stories of lost love or something. Gist of the story I read, was this guy found his wife cheating on him, they got divorced, few years later he became a paramedic, got a call of an OD, it's his wife, and he just stood there and watched her die.

I thought it was funny.

Oh crap. I remember like a week ago they had a cancer video up and were talking about how he's going to be fine or something.

Now this. :(

and i care how?

He isn't going to be banned you twits. He said he didn't care that he can't rate, he wasn't dismissing the thread at all. People say "I don't care," or other variations of it all the time and are never banned because it has nothing to do with the OP. They aren't some magical words that will get you banned.

Games / Re-calibrating my HDTV on my PS3
« on: March 27, 2012, 06:58:46 PM »
Just recently got a PS3. I play on an HDTV with 720p, does smoothing smooth HD games too, and will it look better?

Alright, I should mention I have this triple component cable. It has a plug for an Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2/PS3. I have already calibrated my HDTV on my Xbox 360 using Windows Media Center and calibrating videos. Now that I have a PS3 and the videos/games are being displayed with a different console, should I need to re-calibrate my HDTV?
Does anyone know if the PS3 has a "Blue Filter" mode when playing DVDs? This option is available on some HDTVs (not mine though), and adds a blue filter over the screen making it easier to adjust the color and tint settings when calibrating your HDTV.

He must join his server under "Badspot" just for a laugh. Pretty sure he's mentioned before that he has another ID.
