Went to a wedding, felt a little sad, went horseback riding the next day.

So I’d say it was pretty alright.

Yeah it's been a wicked long time. I'm not even on Steam that much usually. I think I talked to Electrk a month or so ago but I didn't have a keyboard haha. Just busy with other things now. Miss being able to hang out on the computer all the time haha.

I'll probably get on more in the next couple months. Me and the girlfriend bought a house and we're finishing up the closing sometime in May. So once we're settled in I'll have some more free time for stuff. Maybe finish up some old builds or start a new one. See if I can actually finish something for once haha.

Wish I still had my 11439.
30k is old at this point, right? I don't know.

Been a while ever since I started using Reddit. I'd like to be a regular again but things seem pretty slow whenever I check in. Forum and game-wise.

With Blockland being an indie game and all that is continually developed, why is it that Badspot hasn't implemented native support for these effects?

A lot of it is just nitpicky bullstuff. There's another video where someone does the same exact thing for things GTA V has that IV does not. Both videos are equally handicapped. Each game isn't supposed to be your typical sequel, being a rehash of the previous game. Rockstar has said before that they like each game to stand on its own and have its own selling point.

Anyways, I also didn't like how random events were handled in GTA V. They were obviously trying to emulate the ones they had in RDR, but they ended up being "unmarked Strangers and Freaks missions." They all only happen in one set location, and once you complete it - it's done. In Red Dead Redemption they were truly randomized, and infinite. The world didn't die once you had seen each event.

killing somebody is bad but shooting them in the leg/hip area for reasonable suspicion should be protocol

In the academy we are taught not to do this. That there is no such thing as "shoot to wound," and to make no attempts to. You could still hit a major artery and cause them to bleed out. If you are shooting, you are shooting to kill and have to be prepared for such an outcome. Lethal force is a last resort and supposed to be used in response to an equal/slightly equal level of force/resistance given by the suspect - if you're not a loving handicap that is.

surely this is a joke

There are no jokes when it comes to an amazing Cinematic Experience™

The ending of Mafia II.

This whole game was a disappointing moment for me. For years all I've heard about it were good things, both online and in-person.

I played it and it was like any other lifeless, open-world, non-GTA, third-person shooter. It was short as hell, and there were multiple jumps where you are shown/told about all the awesome things you did. I still remember this part where once the main character and his friend get into the Mafia, there's a loving montage of them doing stuff. What the forget? Why couldn't those have been missions?

Then there's another loving jump and now you have a big fancy house in this nice neighborhood. You miss out on all the stuff that led up to that. Seriously?

Honestly, the most fun I had in that game was towards the end when you need to scrape together a bunch of cash to pay back some loan shark. You get like 95% of it from one guy, but then you have to go rob some stores and steal some cars to get the rest of the cash. It would have been ten times better though if there were more activities to make the cash though. Nonetheless, it was fun. I was actually doing something in the game for once and actually working for something.

Reminded me of GTA Vice City when you have to buy different businesses and do some work for them. No stupid montage of you buying these places and using it as a drug front, no. You actually have to do the stuff yourself and work for your empire. Imagine how loving awful GTA VC would have been if instead of doing all that, there was just a loving montage of Tommy buying these places and making money - then all of a sudden you finally get to play and you're being told guys are robbing you. That's what Mafia II was.

doors right there buddy

Fallout 4 is a nice open-world shooter, but compared to New Vegas it falls short of the whole RPG thing. If you're someone like me who sticks with the default guy in Fallout 4, names him his canon name, and go with the most streamlined/linear choice it's not bad. But if you want to change things up, play as a different character, etc. there's not much room.

Technically the 1070 is not overkill for 1080p gaming if you use 144hz monitor.

Well the human eye can't see past 30FPS...

Were those the same ones where you captured other players with the Pokeball item?

That stuff was rough.

The 1070 is a pertfect 1440 or 4k intro card now.

Nice. Can't wait to use the 1070 for 1080p gaming with everything else maxed out, plus graphics mods.

General Discussion / Re: Legoboss's SLASHER [Update Out]
« on: July 19, 2016, 09:28:59 PM »
You're tripping over yourself man.

You admit that you were opening the doors.
You are warned to stop opening doors and griefing your team.
You admit that in the chat the slasher was telling you to open the doors.
You admit again that you did so.
Ike's log mentions you were asked to stop again.

And then in another post, you're claiming that you had the chat scrolled up so you couldn't see the warnings to stop opening the doors.
Yet you're also saying that you were being told by the slasher to open the doors, which you did. Multiple times you were warned doing this.

But you had the chat scrolled up so you couldn't see the warnings from the admins? But you could see the chat when the slasher was telling you to open the doors, meanwhile the admins are telling you not to? Jesus Christ man which is it? Could you not see the chat when they were warning you, or could you see the chat when the slasher was telling you to open the doors while the admins were telling you not to? I've heard of selective hearing, but not selective reading. You loving dyslexic?

It's weird. I don't give a stuff and don't care enough to check what their ID is, yet I still wish I had my old ID/wish I got the game back when I used to just play the demo in v8.

Maybe we should start making really crappy versions of features we want, to sort of push Badspot into making his own official versions for the game.
