I've had this happen to me a on occasion as well, not exactly sure of the cause or why steam says blockland is still running when the process doesn't even show up in task manager. It's not something I'm able to reliably reproduce either, most of the time blockland closes just fine but sometimes it will still say it's still running when it's not. only restarting steam fixes it.

It's really inconvenient when you're working on an add-on you can't update in-game and have to restart Steam every time you close the game down

The game is just actively deteriorating from neglect at this point.
I don't think it's a bug with blockland, more likely to be a bug with the steam client. I do not recall this issue appearing until recent steam updates

I actually now found another recording where Piccolo said May 13th to be the anniversary. So which is it, BLF?

it's may 13th for the dub, may 9th for the original, so may 9th is in fact the true date

somehow I always knew something like this would happen which is why I never used blg. and if I did download an add-on from blg I always deleted the json and extra crap inside the .zip that wasn't needed

i do like blg for the archiving and uploading of add-ons though it's basically an rtb website replacement so i hope everything gets fixed. idk why petty people think that sort of crap is funny

damn dude it sounds like somebody gave you some spice because I've been around weed my entire life, smoked with plenty of first timers, and have never seen anybody react that way from regular bud. U definitely got spice or some laced stuff and, that really sucks it ruined your first experience because weed is amazing and therapeutic.

somewhat unrelated but
I used to talk about how cannabis could help with cancer treatment and people laughed at me and called me names. well finally a new publication came out last year which talks about the effects of cannabis and it's tumor inhibiting properties.

I used to be addicted to spice, adderal, and dxm. I would go on a 24-48 hour binge where I would snort adderal and chew benadryl (uppers and downers mixed) and micro dose on dxm, smoke spice, and pretty much do anything that would forget me up. It was a very bad time in my life and I was throwing my life away both figuratively and physically. all i cared about was the next high. Luckily I was able to break free from those addictions, though I cannot say I did it alone, I had support from friends and family which not everybody gets.

anyways ive done my fair share of stuff when i was younger but those days are long past me. now i only toke ganj and drink brews on the weekend. well...and maybe trip on some cid or shrooms a few times a year but thats a very once in a while thing. other than those 4 things I've steered clear of other drugs for the past decade or so. the harder stuff like heroin, meth, crack, etc. and pills/pharmaceuticals are the stuff that will ruin your life and eventually kill you.

Any goofy psychedelic experiences?
my waterlines under my house busted here a few winters back and my brother and i ran some new water lines underneath my house at like 2 in the morning while on a hit of 'cid. it turned into a goofy adventure setting up a "proper base" down there before bringing down all the tools and getting everything hooked up. we were like organizing underneath and calling the objects we were moving by enemy name, HP, attacks, and special moves. stuff like "I found a cylinder block, enemy has 50 HP, 10 attack, and special move is: can crush your loving thumb so be careful" it was super dumb lol. it took us 6 hours to install like 2 waterlines and put heat tape on the main but we were just having fun. Waterlines came out really good as well because we were so meticulous about everything lmao probably would have done a way lazier job if I was dead sober

yeah, as someone who has worked various different jobs I can tell you I've met a fair share of not too bright people. just one example is when a guy and I were putting in a drywall drop ceiling and I reminded him multiple times to make sure to cut out the ceiling vent hole BEFORE hanging the ceiling up. welp long story short this dumbass forgot to do this very basic thing, and then had the audacity to ask me "Well, why didn't you remind me?" like motherforgeter I DID REMIND YOU, AT LEAST TWICE, IF NOT MORE! and since I'm only 5,7 and 140 pounds I'M the one who had to end up going into the attic crawlspace, finding the vent hole and stabbing markers down through so the idiot down below knew where to cut the circle out of the ceiling at.

I get where you are coming from. Sometimes you just have to work with these kinds of people, and no matter what you try to tell them they always think they know best, or when they forget up they try to shift the blame on you! And yeah, as bad as you want to say "I told you so" that almost always results in just more problems or making the person feel worse about their mistake than they already do, so it's better to bite your tongue and focus on the job at hand rather than rubbing it in or starting a feud. respect+ your holding it together brotha

Some of the most important people in my life I met because of this game. I wish I could continue to take part in a community like this that I grew up in forever. I had almost no IRL friends during my childhood and growing up homeschooled, so meeting the lovely people from this game really helped me. I look forward to meeting any of you blockheads out in the wild some day if our paths cross.
I've always imagined what it would be like if I met someone in the real world outside of blockland and had no idea who they were, I mean someone I never met before who maybe played the game at some point. I imagine we'd reminisce about the game and talk about the servers we had fun on. It's never happened but I think it would be kinda neat

haha love it, accurate I'd say xD

I'm pushing 30, and I still play this game because the community is more wholesome than you think at first glance. I've met a great deal of friends through my years in this game - we all got our own issues but the one thing we have in common is enjoying a fun creative experience
