I never heard of that! Wow that’s really cool, I want to check out that Dr. Caligari mashup, plus I enjoy that Massive Attack album as is. Reminds me a lot of the more popular “Dark Side of Oz” mashup.

Update: I watched “When Harry Met Sally” for the first time, starts off with some good laughs with Billy Crystal’s advice, but you’ll end up in some form of an emotional wreck by the time you reach the ending. If you’re a sap, you’d enjoy this as much as I did. The mise-en-scene carries the story over well too.
Those are actually some of the best movies - I know I already gave a small list of recommendations (I do hope you watched at least one of them because I would surely love to hear your opinion) another movie I'd like you to check out is called "The Fare"

It's insane how many decent-good anime are plagued by random creepbait. What's up with japs and outright child enthusiasm?
you're talking about the same demography of people who think tentacle/squid research is attractive, is it really that surprising?? I love anime, but there are some really forgeted up ones out there for sure....

It was underwhelming but not terrible to watch either. Excellent music choices as always
I liked the stranger things music until everyone and their mother started using it for tik toks now it's just annoying. The show is great, but damn lol..

personally, I find the series "locke and key" to be one of my favorites, better than stranger things. very much so looking forward to the next season this fall. if you haven't seen it I highly recommend giving it a chance

tony is a chill dude - maybe a tad nit picky on how games "should" be but thats typical with any dedicated gamer (including myself) because we are sick of bad games and stuff remakes. regardless I still see him as a very thoughtful enthusiast when it comes to gaming - the one thing I don't understand though is why he still uses a voice changer

go watch cube 1997
Cube was a good movie but I particularly liked the 2nd one "Hyper Cube". The third one, titled "Cube Zero" was a prequel to the first one, and while I normally like those types of things I didn't think it was better than the first 2. Evidently there is a Japanese remake of the first cube movie but I have yet to actually watch it

I feel like it's unlikely that you'd get younger generations that did not grow up in the era of the internet where forums were the main social media outlet. The more we progress into the future, the less likely you'll find people actively looking for forums or even knowing that they existed in the first place. You'd probably have to garner some media attention to the forums and/or Blockland itself to showcase how despite "the odds," the forums continue to exist. On the flip side, I think that with the turbulence of the past few years, you'll likely see some people from yesteryear stroll through for some comfort.
exactly. very well said!! I believe this to be the case also. it would be really cool if blockland could gain some attention again - after all it is still an amazingly fun game it's just a matter of having an audience!

Its loving pride month 📆 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 that 💯 means you're not 😠 allowed 🙅🏻‍♀️ to be straight 🌈 😤😤 we will ‼️ not be accepting anyone 🚶‍♂️ who 👋😂 identifies as heteroloveual 😒😒 until 💦 the 1st of july 🎆🎇1️⃣6️⃣ all shall be persecuted by 😈 law 😱 😡😡 jk rowling has been 👏 allowed to choose 📥📥 who is gay 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧😍😍 and this will stay the same 🙂👍👍👍👍 for 💗 the rest of your 😝 life 👨‍🦳🧑‍🦳💓 😝😝 biloveuals are okay 🙄🙄 but you're on 🔛 thin loving 🍆😡 ice 🍨 ❄❄ don't 🙅‍♂️ think 🤔 that you are safe 🌺 😥😥 we will be ✅ after your 😍thicc ass 🍑 if you 😀 show 🎉 any signs ⚠️ of affection towards the other 😖 love 🍆 😠😠
emoji overload o.O
jeez trog..lol

I'm all for peoples rights to be with and love whoever they want whether that relationship be intimate or not, but I don't see why it has to be a prideful thing thats advertised for a whole month. Important historical figures who literally changed the course of history are lucky if they get a single day that could be considered a holiday. Just be yourself, and who gives a stuff what other ppl think, that in itself is enough pride, is it not?

there's too many 'insert topic here' months for the market to become oversaturated and me not care
same goes for 'event' days
also not wrong...

Off Topic / Re: might have cashew allergy
« on: June 01, 2022, 03:30:39 AM »
I like cashews but not the planters brand they taste terrible and upset my stomach as well

the cashew is actually an apple stem and the outer shell contains toxins that are not safe to ingest, they are supposed to be steamed after being shelled to remove the toxic oils

Quote
Besides containing urushiol, a skin irritant, the shells also have two other components that are toxic to ingest. Anacardic acid causes rashes similar to urushiol, and phenolic resin is a chemical sometimes found in insecticides. These oils in the shells can leach into the cashew seed, making it dangerous to eat the raw nut even after removing it from the outer layers. This is why companies steam cashews to clear the oils before selling them for consumption

never had cashew milk before but it sounds like it wouldn't be very good....

its not a work study, i get actual paychecks that i often use on various things unrelated to college. i also have a good amount of scholarships and other financial aid so im not paying that much semester to semester. also a matter of convenience because i dont have to drive to separate locations / its easier to work around my classes
ah i see. well hey there you go, if it fits around your schedule and benefits you that's a plus. keep up the good work yo

I'm an electrician now yeeeeeeaaaa! which means I sit in a truck a lot, drive heavy machinery around on trailers, dig trenches, risk death by cooking my internal organs, drink way to many energy drinks, think about punching holes in drywall a lot (because sheetrockers don't understand that the little blue boxes in the walls AREN'T FOR THEM TO PUT ALL THEIR LEFTOVER MUD IN!!) but then I don't because someone has to be the better man and obviously since electricians are better that means us.

All so peoples wifi enabled toilets have power
haha thats epic. doing electricity is fun imo but you have to know what you're doing or you'll be literal toast! my father and I ran aluminum service wire from power pole to basement breaker box which ran up to the 3rd story/attic of a big home, that was a hell of a learning experience for me at the time being fresh out of highschool.

them energy drinks tho man...there was a time when I was working 12-16 hour shifts at a factory and was relying on energy drinks to keep me going and it sucked because I always felt like stuff - plus i barely even had enough time to spend my checks and the work was physically painful and exhausting too so that didn't help. nowadays i usually drink those body armors (blu raz or strawberry banana) but occasionally I'll get one of those starbucks double shot coffee in a can.

also, wifi toilets wtf. i wonder if you take a big stuff in one does it interfere with the signal?!

onn brand is the apex of cheap electronics, their stuff is mostly bunk although I did buy an onn brand roku tv that was actually fairly well built for the price. as for bluetooth earbuds idk but wearing them in the shower seems like it would be uncomfortable

or just play music from your phone
if it's loud enough and the audio isn't terrible yes

Why not just use a speaker? Wearing earbuds in the shower sucks
this. a cheap bluetooth speaker even if your worried about it getting moisture damage. i've had the same cheap ass walmart clearance bluetooth speaker for like 4 years now surprisingly still works sittin on the back sink corner lol - i just pair it to my phone and play whatever

i would honestly just recommend using one of those shower speakers instead of earbuds since it'll be more comfortable and you wont have water and soap and other crud dripping into the earbuds
those are cool too but having them in the shower with you still makes the tech vulnerable even if it's "water proof" . plad has the right idea just have a bluetooth speaker in the bathroom with you outside of the shower, although i can see how showering with earbuds in would be immersive as forget
