me too at most of that. I'll be 25, not 28, but it's still like. I am an adult with a serious career. how is that even possible? when I first really started posting here it was summer break before my 8th grade year. I was a damn middle schooler and now I've got a lease? I have to pay for my own forgetin health insurance? whose idea was this?
also won't be going to a high school reunion whenever that happens. I'm probably not even eligible? you probably have to graduate for that
some of the most realist common sense stuff I've heard you say fr - fk it show up there anyways and be like "ayyye whats good" haha. life is so much different after highschool whether u graduated or not bro we all got our own crazy personal lives to deal with and if you're tryin your best and making it thru thats all that counts :)

I always figured this rule kinda faded when RTB became popular, because at that time a lot of add-ons were being hosted on the RTB website or posted to the RTB forums and eventually there was even a subcategory here on the BL forums for those add-ons which linked directly to the RTB website. Understandably, those add-ons went through an approval process (questionable) before they were publicly available, but mainly I think at the time Blockland was popular enough and in active development to where advertising other forums and such was frowned upon because of ad revenue. nowadays if you're smart you'll be using ublock origin to block that bullstuff. Of course I keep ublock disabled for forum.blockland.us because I have respect for the game and ad-bot really isn't that bothersome. Interestingly enough I can't recall anytime a user has posted a legitimate forum topic link to another website with an add-on and was actually perma-banned for it. my own forum started out as a blockland-inspired forum many years ago but sorta evolved over time as a general gaming and entertainment forum i suppose - we still post things from time to time, mostly music now since flash games died

probably should update it again sometime and shoutout to mega bear who's been a trusty moderator for years lol

i work part time at my university doing IT helpdesk stuff, honestly a pretty enjoyable job where i get to work with some cool people and its pretty flexible around my college schedule. plus when college isnt in session (summer break) i get a lot of hours and make some sweet cash that i proceed to waste save
so you like...work at the college you attend...to pay for the college you attend? props for working for an education and all but wouldn't it be more mindful to go for an apprenticeship or something? they actually pay you to learn
not where I thought I'd end up in my early 20s but tbh this job kinda fell into my lap
crazy how that happens, lol. hey as long as you don't absolutely hate your job and the people you work with, and it pays well, might as well stick with it even if it wasn't quite what you had in mind :)

We could genuinely just start with a fence. You're completely right: The average warehouse full of loving glass has more security than the average school full of small children in America. America is the only country where this handicapped stuff happens but we're hardly the only one with guns. The switz have fully automatic rifles on a may-issue permit, they've had fewer mass shootings than Australia. You can own some gnarly guns in South Africa but you don't get mega school massacre tragedies, and it could reasonably be because they just lock the damn building.

This is speaking from experience; I've lived on four continents, American public school security is insane and pants on head handicapped. In Australia I could walk around the building for lunch and most of the classes were separate buildings that you walked between. Nobody gave a stuff. Yet there was still a fence and two entries and exits that were staffed 24/7. In America, I'm basically in a loving prison cell, I have to speech check my way past 3 karens just to eat lunch in the library, and yet every time there's a mass shooting the richardhead just enters through one of 19 unlocked doors and has completely free reign of the building for 9 hours.

If your security plan involves hoping that every single individual in a pool of 300,000,000 doesn't do something evil rather than just securing your building with 500 people in it, that's beyond asinine
somebody give this man a medal. loving spot on my dude

we just really value the freedom to be not secure, probably. cause that sounds like stuff americans would disagree with on the basis of it making school feel like prison. even though the people there probably make it feel that way anyways.
yeah thats a valid point but heck lots of schools already have metal detectors (mainly alternative schools and the such for "at risk" or drop-out teens, troublemakers, etc) but also some larger schools as well. when i was in school it pretty much already felt like jail to me so i don't really see why it matters much to have them for an extra layer of security, or like crook is saying just start with a fence and designated / supervised entrances and exits. on the contrary however - this did happen at an elementary school and having metal detectors and fencing in a setting like that seems a bit too much - thats where young kids are learning and playing it shouldn't have to be all fenced up and stuff all because 1 piece of stuff decided to do something awful

The worlds getting better every day and it's IMO fairly pessimistic to think otherwise. We're literally sitting atop the '(actually) golden' tool of peace, unadulterated beautiful human connection undivided fairly unhindered communication that spans across all languages and the globe as a whole. Never before has anything like this happened, this is 10,000 years in the making. Isn't this the start of literally everything Humans have been working for?

It kind of blows my mind and I think it's very beautiful.
seems we as humans are both blessed and cursed at the same time. we age, we hunger, we tire, etc. these things could be seen as a curse or a blessing in disguise. experiencing life itself is indeed a very beautiful thing, provided you weren't born into slavery or some stuff - but even then people still manage to find joy in the little things in life, like humming a familiar tune or watching the sun set. "the world is getting better every day" is questionable however - from a basic standpoint looking at modern technology and human rights yes we have come a long way from our barbaric past, but we also have people addicted to way more drugs and forgeted up things than ever before - once beautiful cities now covered in graffiti and trash rampant with rodents and disease. I want to be optimistic so while I do agree the world is getting better everyday in many aspects, there is always room for improvement

Hopefully a bit cheaper than them but I'm having troubles finding a full leather boot. The most important thing to me is that the innersole, heel area and exterior are all leather. If you wanna talk me away from that decision feel free
those are nice boots but damn those prices are insane!!

not sure if you meant the shoe being practically all 1 leather piece (no stitched heel) or just an all leather boot in general, but here are a couple bargains on boots with positive customer reviews

In all fairness I don't know much about good hiking boots, but I reckon you want a boot with comfort and durability

I wear composite toe leather boots for my job and so far they have held up really nice for the price:

341
been here so long even my kid plays blockland now, lol. damn time sure flies. i still enjoy playing bl and making mods for the game in my spare time. :)

Also I probably have the second oldest forum account here so far...

I've dealt with insomnia my entire life so that's always been a struggle to manage. Last week I pulled a muscle in my lower right side stomach whilst lifting some heavy boxes at work and I'm still recovering. stuff hurts

oh and lately allergies. ohio's spring tree pollen really does a number on me. some mornings I wake up barely able to breath because my sinuses are so plugged
