One of the best city builds out there.

Question: Can the 128,000 brick limit be set higher in the Advanced Config menu under the server startup screen? Or is 128,000 the max and everything above it just defaults to that?

i love it personally, and i want to see the complete product and maybe even a save!

Doubtful I produce a save of this. It's kind of my pet project. I don't want a bunch of servers running it. At least, I would prefer that does not happen, but it's out of my control if someone decides to save it.

Needs moar city pics.

The city has actually been on here before. Months ago. I might post some updated shots eventually. However, it is not my focus right now.

I am about 80% complete with this project. People who visit my server are probably familiar with the city and the stadium project I have been dedicating a lot of time over the course of this week. Anyways check it out:

After this I plan to develop the blocks surrounding the stadium with 2 or 3 story commercial buildings in the style of the area around Fenway Park in Boston.

Looking over the Front Office structure:

Longshot of the front (incomplete):

Whole front (incomplete)

From the upper deck above the front:

Look at all the pretty frames:

Total brick count on the stadium itself sits somewhere around 7000 or 8000 I think. Guessing a bit.

Definitely one of the more interesting builds I have seen.

I've actually built a couple of towers using similar methods. Though I don't think i'd ever do one without the ability to hover.

A few screens before I go to sleep.

That's a quick selection for now. Obviously I can't show you everything since that would take awhile to do the interiors and crap. My project for the next few days is to work on the street detailing with lights etc.

First off. It's a lot better in person, pictures never do anything justice. Most if not everyone who actually visits leave impressed. That said the pictures could be better. I'll post some of my own when I am ready.

I'm pretty damn sure this isn't or MeddleHeads, Because Fooly Cooly has the save and he said it was from a long time ago -.-

Second off this is a completely original build. If anyone else has it they either saved it for themselves and claimed it as theirs or did a brick for brick copy by chance.

I played with some MotE guys recently (don't remember which) but they were terrific fun. Had a great time. It was a city build on a ported version of RTB Isles.

my computer is not exactly top of the line, but it's no slouch either. Pentium 4 630, 1GB of RAM, 6600GT.

Figuring out what you can and can't see is a lot more complicated than you think.

Not saying I could. I've only just begun learning 3D programming and playing around with the jMonkeyEngine (Java - since that is what I am pro-efficient with.)

But it does seem odd.

I've noticed a lot of FPS drops on big builds. Which is not totally unprecedented when you have to render 50,000+ bricks.

However, recently while playing on a server that featured a huge castle, I would experience tremendous brick lag while facing in the direction of the main castle. However, directly in front of me would be a large wall of only a few bricks that totally blocked the view of the castle.

Rotating my body around 180 degrees or so, and facing away from the castle and towards an identical wall, I would experience no FPS drop. NOTE: I could NOT see the castle in either examples.

My question: Is Blockland rendering bricks that are not currently on the screen? Has anybody else noticed  this?
