differential equations and linear algebra are grouped together as a class at my college, but can also be taken separately
i feel like that makes a good likelihood that you could take them concurrently and do well as long as you focus on both of them
also, if they're really the only two tough classes for a whole semester, all your studying can be math related instead of having to switch between different subjects, another plus
i would say go for it. definitely ask another professor or an advisor, but it sounds like it'd work

i exist to reiterate blog posts

the summer rolled over and now the plan for 1.4 is bounty hunting:
"Starbound 1.4 will see the player become a bounty hunter, tracking down wanted criminals for the new Peacekeeper organisation."

these are just progress shots posted a half a month ago

the system in general seems nice, but considering starbound's habits of rigging everything up to purely random generation, i'm thinking that bounty hunting is going to just feel more like an empty grind that leads up to a slightly less random boss fight every time. but hey, prove me wrong chucklefish

spacefaring update in the last couple of months says:

VERSION 1.3 MAJOR CHANGES:
NAVIGATION OVERHAUL
CUSTOMIZABLE MECHS
MODULAR SPACE STATIONS
The roosterpit navigation interface has been completely overhauled. Planets, moons and ships are all visible and orbit each other in real time. Systems will now contain NPC stations, friendly and hostile NPC ships, and strange space anomalies to visit!
Explore these new space locations in customizable spacefaring mechs! Traverse hostile space in zero gravity, fight powerful new space monsters, and collect unique rewards as you upgrade your mech to progress through more difficult hazards. Mechs can also be deployed to planets, to crush your enemies with overwhelming firepower!
Make a permanent home among the stars with player-owned stations! Use a station transponder to place your station into orbit, then expand it with modular rooms to suit your needs.

...and the rest of it can be seen here.

i like the idea of a sona list, a lot, but over time you kinda get to see all the ways in which to tackle that kind of list so i figured i'll type a bit about it

well made tables can be really good looking and make an awesome quick reference for people's sonas, but they are definitely hard to set up and you basically need to limit the number of characters each person can fit into the list in order to keep things neat. it's also only possible for one person to commit to working on it at a time (and the OP has to put in the updated list regularly)

or you could use a google spreadsheet, which is a really versatile option, but then you'd need to either add everyone's sonas in the list yourself (as the OP) or hand pick people's emails to invite them to edit the sheet, which can lead to trouble. it can also get pretty big and laggy if it gets especially large.

a third option might be to get everyone to use a service like toyhou.se, which can allow people to get really detailed with their character descriptions, and all the OP work would simply be adding links to everyone's profile pages in the main post. however this is much more scattered and less convenient for everyone to see everyone else's characters, since its all on different webpages instead of the same forum post. it's also a lot more work per person, and some people may just not add their sona because it's not a simple task.

tl;dr making a sona list is a trade off between something simple, convenient, condensed, but a heavy workload for one person versus something independent, in-depth, but fairly unorganized. take your pick

side note: about toyhou.se specifically, it's invite-only to register but i have a ridiculous number of invite codes because i like the place a lot so, if you want to give the site a try, pm me or somethin

I like variety, i can show off multiple artists and give people a reason to check out their other stuff
haha, i wasn't intending to nitpick your method, you've introduced me to new artists and i think it's way cool

i was just lookin for an excuse to post some stuff

every once in a while mld gets some of this artist's new stuff mixed into his dumps, but here's a retros focused art appreciation post

retros is normally agent-de-voyages across the web, but i can't link anything terribly specific because it's mostly NSFW work
