Those are fightin' words boi.
Tbh samsung is kinda stuffty, my buttons on it broke in a few days so I need to restart my phone every time i watch a video on facebook. I only really bought it for the long battery life and it is really helpful. Once my phone's home button wouldn't work so i had to restart my phone every time i wanted to go to a new app.

Cash in your old phone at Genric Shady Phone Dealer.com, where you trade your old phone for a meager piece of green paper whilst we take it apart and sell each piece three times what we gave you!  So enter this into the URL box in your browser: Generic Shady Phone Dealer.com, or call us: 0800 69 1337 666

No don't even, it should stay down.

It should stay down.  I wasted a good chunk of my time collecting giant stockpiles of resources, and then I get killed by some adolescent idiot RDM prison escapee.  This resulted in resetting everything I had collected to 0, and the admins did not care at all.
0.

The natural city RPG process

  • start game and figure out that the /help list jobs command is broken
  • start whacking material and sell it for meager money
  • realize that the effort to money ratio is good enough considering you don't get any drawbacks for owning land while being a laborer
  • get bored of chopping trees and decide to do novelty jobs because cops and robbers is about as fun as eating glass
  • sell clothes or something stupid because the admins are too loving dumb to make the server fun
  • work hard for money like some kind of handicap
  • village idiot #6 decides to spend his meaningless existence terrorizing you since he's a criminal because the only thing that validates village idiot #6's existence is being a mild inconvenience to everyone around him
  • get bored of getting killed because somebody is bored so you decide to kill people who are just as bored as you
  • killing people and getting arrested means you can't have as much ""fun"" as you previously would have with an unclean record
  • so you opt to do law enforcement because griefing griefers is more fun than selling clothes
  • about 3/5ths of the people you attempt to jail kill themselves, but your income is larger than previously so you don't quit immediately
  • at this point you have probably wined to the admin(s) about something and got ignored, so you've gone from being a hopeful cityrpg scoundrel to a disillusioned lifeless husk that beats people with a yellow hammer when they try to have fun
  • arrest somebody who was fifteen miles from the place where you pay demerits off, he cries to an admin about how he tried to pay dems and you arrested him
  • while trying to tell the admin what happens you have a sudden aneurysm and die
  • while you're dead irl you get looted twice and then run over
  • your efforts are rewarded posthumously by the city rpg gamemode being hosted fifteen thousand more times

...Oh.

can you two jump off the bandwagon of grudge please, and chrome i dont even know who you are?

Of course you don't know who I am.  I've only tended to observe in the past, especially in drama.

People know me.  I was absent from the forums a long time, as I enjoyed playing the game more - I am well known ingame.  I am Nova Flare.

I have a usually limited selection of servers.  I know what you're like, though.

changing basic values on any single type of brick would involve finding all examples and wrench-eventing them differently.

Scripting a modular system would be better as one of the users suggest, I believe.

EDIT: Quartz suggested.

what the hell did you actually think I was talking to you

???  No.  I looked on the OP and found him, but not me.  So I made the comment.

I should have been more specific.

That doesn't reduce the amount work needed. I mean I'm not trying to kill your innovation, but you should probably simplify this or make it yourself.

Mmm, good idea.  I can see how this could become a bit messy without proper documentation.

I'll work on revising it and see what the community thinks about that version, and get back to learning Torquescript and C/C++.  I'll do some research looking for other implementations of this as well, so that I don't entirely have to reinvent the wheel.  I should produce a much more refined version of this after doing the proper research.  I'll modify my original post and add the refined version under the old one, so expect me to bump this topic in the future.

It sounds complex even for a mod, IMO.  It would be great, but this looks like it'd require a great deal of simplification in order to be a feasible goal.

I suppose you'd only have to get the main systems sorted out, like electricity and materials production, then release all the other things in updates.

this sounds like it would require more than VCE, or at least much more easily done and managed using scripts instead of VCE.

a lot of what you describe here sounds like an entire build-and-manage-a-city thing, which is a huge endeavor for any mod. its likely not going to happen unless you simplify this considerably.

Well, every facility requires a sub-computer in order to function, so you wouldn't need to manage it.  They manage themselves, which is how I personally like it. As long as they're protected, you can let them do their thing.
