FAQ
- Q: What happened to justfilehosting.space
A: The domain name justfilehosting.space was suspended by Radix Registry for an unspecified reason. Attempts to contact the registry and resolve the issue were met with silence.
- Q: So what happened to the files on justfilehosting.space
A: They're still here! Nothing happened to the server the files were on, just the old domain name is suspended and therefore inaccessible. If you have links to files from justfilehosting, you can simply replace 'justfilehosting.space' with 'leopard.hosting.pecon.us' in the URL and it will work.
- Q: What is stopping leopard.hosting from getting suspended too?
A: Well, not much. The registry always has final say on that matter. However, I've since implemented a number of things that should reduce the chances of this happening again. This includes automatic malware screening and an improved abuse report system, among other things.
- Q: Are files ever automatically removed?
A: Files are currently only removed if they are in violation of the
rules. No automatic file removal is currently in place and none appears to be necessary for the foreseeable future.
- Q: What is a 'delete password'?
A: If you set a delete password on your file, you will be able to later visit the
delete file page and enter that password along with the file URL to permanently delete it (Passwords are always appropriately hashed with bcrypt). This isn't required if you want to remove your files, when you upload a file you also receive a 'delete URL' which can be visited to automatically delete the file. If you lose this URL and don't set a delete password, your file is effectively un-deleteable.
- Q: Are there easier ways to upload than using the website?
A: Yes! If you are using Windows you can use
ShareX to upload to Leopard hosting! All you have to do is install ShareX, and then import the
custom uploader config into ShareX to start uploading seamlessly. ShareX will also automatically keep track of the download URL's and delete URL's for all your files automatically, which is very convenient if you need to find something you uploaded.
