General Discussion / Re: Gamemode section is practically dead
« on: March 06, 2015, 12:29:34 AM »
I thought the gamemode system was really nice for creating a tailored experience in a single-player environment. My Imscared gamemode and that Sector E gamemode I think were both great examples of how the gamemode system in it's current form could be utilized well. Maybe I should work on making another single player adventure thing.

Looks like I now have another issue with my computer...it now takes a forever to start up windows, then runs perfectly fine once it finally logs in. It also gets stuck on POST for quite a while A2, and one of the drives doesn't show up (strange part about it is that now the one that didn't show up before is now back, so maybe it's a cable issue of some sort?). Keep in mind it booted up windows 7 in seconds before this. (pls don't ignore again)
Had this problem for a long time running windows 8 while a dead drive was sitting connected to the machine. The solution is to simply remove the dead drive.

Help / Re: NO ONE CAN JOIN MY SERVER!!!

Doesn't IPV6 make port forwarding obsolete?

UPnP Doesn't even show up for new Routers, and I'm pretty sure you don't need to port forward with IPV6.
IPv6 doesn't have anything to do with this. If/when IPv6 finally becomes mandatory (it really needs to), Blockland will likely no longer work since it's networking engine was never upgraded to support it (or so most of us think).

The problem is most likely that the UPnP is not working correctly for your routers. The solution is to port-forward properly and disable UPnP.

uh oh, i hope the master server isn't down? I'm not sure how this works though.
The master server is not down.

what do u mean?
The crackling is coming from a very loose connection where the electricity has to jump through open air in order to reach the other contact. The reason you have to wiggle the cable around is because the connection is very loose and needs to be pushed into a position where the contacts are actually close enough to conduct. This really isn't a good thing.

Instead of: [Tip] can we change it to something else?
It doesn't do anything by default. You have to format everything on each line.

Website update: You can now apply online without needing a forum account.
Requirements have also been revised to make applying easier for people who may not have been playing Blockland for a long time.

Great, I tried running autodetect from AMD to reinstall the killer driver, and it's giving me this >:(.
Don't use autodetect. Go on the amd website and follow the prompts to grab the latest (non-beta) installer for catalyst.

Honestly there is very little loss from a strong wireless connection. I think what he was saying is to just make sure the upload speed your ISP provides you is sufficient (For streaming 1080p, you probably need about 3Mb/s upload at the very least).

The memory dump isn't displayed on-screen anymore because you can get that and way more specific information from the error logs after the bluescreen. No reason to make a super over-complicated looking error screen that makes anyone who doesn't know exactly what they're doing completely confused.
