He apparently follows the rules and won't sign up because he isn't 18.

Mines not listed, although I did select for it to be allowed.
I just need the description you want displayed next to it.

Basically I go through a quick overview of a lot of the reshade presets. Some of them turn out really to be really neat.
I'm also using the handy 'split screen' reshade feature which only shades half the screen- for comparison.

Misread as "How to tell if you're a basic pro"
Was expecting ludicrous BASIC code.

Even though some tutorials were given, I can't even get the first line to work...
Which IDE are you using.

Why would you recommend a dead IDE to a beginner? Or to anyone for that matter.

It's the first IDE I ever used successfully. I had tried using Code::Blocks before I actually knew any C++, and I really didn't understand where to start. DevC++ had no know-how needed to setup. You just installed it, answered a few preference questions on first startup, and hit compile when ready. In retrospect, if Orwell DevC++ is a newer fork of it then it's probably a better option. I didn't know a newer version of it existed.

if that's true, more than half of the users dont have their servers online. A lot of the server status images on the site are blank
Not all of the users are on the shared nodes. There are quite a few dedicated nodes which aren't listed because the users on them haven't explicitly said they want their node listed.

I'd recommend Bloodshed DevC++ as a starting IDE. Really straightforward to use, main drawback is that it bunches like every library ever into every application no matter what. So it's not good for production. When you get more comfortable with C++ you should start using Code::Blocks.

Right click the Blockland entry in your steam library.
Click set launch options.
type -dedicated
Launch the game.

As stated before, you won't be able to launch a second instance of the game to actually join the server.

Help / Re: I cannot place a single brick on my server

From what I can tell, that function being missing shouldn't be a thing that is possible.

Paste this in your console and see if it starts working again.
Code: [Select]
function getBrickLimit(){return $pref::server::GhostLimit-1000;}

It's a .tmp file because your computer has dumped it in your temp folder so you can view it. Is the content of it all gibberish and unknown characters? If so, then it's probably a binary file (most likely a program meant to infect you). Either way, you'd only be infected if the binary file was executed. Opening the file with notepad will not execute it.

Add-Ons / Re: In-Server announcement rotator
« on: February 03, 2015, 05:52:25 PM »
Ok, and is there any way to delete a specific announcement/edit one, or do I have to delete them all and start over?
You can close your server and open the /config/server/prefs.cs file to manually edit the announcements.
