if he doesn't want to pay for it, you wont be able to make him, unless you want to pay 500-3000 dollars that you'll never get back

He can probably make a claim for only about $15.

FYI Glass, as much as it may sound like a bad idea; the best way to make him pay would probably be by contacting his parents. Getting your own parents involved too will likely increase the chances of success. You can probably request their phone number if you explain the situation to an administrator at the school.

Help / Re: I can't connect to my own dedicated server
« on: January 08, 2015, 03:48:21 AM »
To test, I just tried to join the server and was not able to.

This means either:
- You shut down the server before I could connect
or
- You didn't actually port-forward correctly

It may be helpful if you post how you went about port forwarding and whether or not you have been able to host in the past. Do you have UpNp enabled? It could help.

So my laptop stopped turning on and I opened it up. Only to discover that the monkeys that worked on it when I had problems last time were loving handicaps
It's hard to see, is that connector just not pushed in all the way?

Badspot has coded a lot of custom functionality into this version of SMF. He might have to rewrite all of it if we were to update.

Question about the donation, how does donations go through Patreon w/ proof of purchase on the game? (Such as Name, ID)?
With patreon I just send you a message after you donate asking for your ID.

Yes.

The easiest option requires two flash drives.

Load the contents of the ubuntu live iso onto flashdrive A, which is probably smaller than your 32Gb flashdrive B.
Plug flash drives A and B into the macbook
Boot onto flash drive A, run the install process
During the install, have it format flash drive B as the primary installation drive and make sure it writes the bootloader on there too
Enjoy your new linux flash drive B.

OP released files exe files, and he had used a .bat to .exe converter to make them .exe
There was a strange password thing in the .exe that would crash when "You are not worthy" was entered.
Running the file mdftDecrypter.exe would infect you with a RAT, also known as a Remote Access Tool. As evidenced by other people, it isn't OP that put the RAT in, but the program itself.
I tested the program in a controlled environment on a virtual machine. After using the program and tracking all the disk actions it made, I found no evidence of it installing a remote access tool anywhere. Additionally, I ran a packet sniffer for a few hours just to be sure there wasn't any programs trying to 'phone home' (RATs do this). Alas, there was absolutely no evidence of any residual files or programs left behind by mdftDecrypter.exe. I am now thoroughly certain that the program is not a RAT, and that the antivirus detections (which, by the way, were only made by four off-brand programs I've never even heard of) are false positives.

I know there is a command to set the delay while zooming, it just doesn't come to mind at the moment.

Have a useless fakemail php script I wrote a long time ago.

Code: [Select]
<?php
//This is now just released as source because having this on my website is a pretty extreme vulnerability. I did say that I would only host it for about an hour, didn't I?
if($_POST[from] == null || $_POST[to] == null)
{
print("
Fake mailer!

Sender address:
Recipient:
The formatting of these must comply with RFC 2822. Some examples are: \"user@example.com\" \"user@example.com, anotheruser@example.com\" \"User <user@example.com>\" \"User <user@example.com>, Another User <anotheruser@example.com>\"
Subject:
Text:

"
);
}

else
{
$headers "From: " $_POST[from] . "\r\n" .
"Reply-To:" $_POST[from] . "\r\n" .
'X-Mailer: PHP/' phpversion();

$message wordwrap($_POST[text], 70"\r\n");

$success mail($_POST[to], $_POST[sub], $message$headers);

if($success)
print("Message sent!");
else
print("Message wasn't sent for some reason.");
}
?>

Steve please, add a newline in that html line.

General Discussion / Re: BlockNet Dedicated Hosting - One free server
« on: January 04, 2015, 05:22:16 PM »
I picked the option to purchase a $15/m Dedicated Slot, it said I would get an invoice.

The invoice says I have to pay 20.00 via paypal??

I'm confused,
The payment page states that there is a $5 setup fee for dedicated nodes. This fee was also calculated and displayed on the confirm order page.

You need to disable some add-ons, you've hit the datablock limit and it is causing some things to not load.
