« on: June 10, 2013, 04:34:12 PM »This might be a stupid question, but how did the doom player work then?I know that in the datablocks you can specify a 'view angle', which I think the Doom playertype just set to 0 so you can't look up or down. The main issue with this is that you can't really control the other axis from the server level, at least I think.
not making the player look up or down?
can't you just do the same thing with both?

You'll need to use the -profilepath "Path" argument. Just add it to the target for the shortcut.

I think he means he wants a playertype that has it's camera locked in place.
This is probably best done with just an output event that's like "LockCamera", unless you wanted the camera to follow the player after they get it locked in place. Not sure how to go about that.

Given his computer is mostly a budget computer, it's pretty safe to say he'll never want to upgrade to 32GB of RAM. If 4GB doesn't end up being enough for him, he can easily go out and buy another 4GB stick. 8GB of RAM is more than enough for any practical purposes.

I have one perfect cat. She always follows me around and will sit nearby me whenever I'm not moving about. She also tries to sleep on my legs at night, but that never really works out.
