This whole sequence is basically Katia without Katia.

Added a seventh rule regarding behavior in the chat, as the chat has been frequently getting very toxic.

Coming to a whole new continent practically on a whim, knowing nobody here and leaving everything i had behind. Readjusting to culture differences isn't something i've done before, at least to this extent, but mostly the whole leaving everything behind thing
Why'd you do that?

YO IS THAT THE HURTWORLD MAP??? LMAOOOo

good game tho i like it
Eh? I don't see how a desert and some random mesas suddenly means it was based off some other game set in a desert. It's just a generic map.

pecon fix thy shit
mainly because when i tried placing a factory and it overlapped, it wasted 5 of my tech without actually placing it
Just letting you know, we figured out this happened specifically when you planted a brick and had no trust. It's fixed now.

In other news, I've added the SWeps AK47.

Edit: Generators and Factories now repair themselves after 30 minutes. This lets players continually raid bases around the map without running out of generators and factories to destroy.

noscript
Speaking of which, looks like NoScript got it's webextensions update today. Only a week late for the firefox release, but it could've been worse.

I've tried and cannot replicate this. If you happen to notice it happening and think it happens under specific conditions, let me know.

What I've been looking at as a likely option so far has been the Ruger LCP since it seems like the right size for my hand (as well as I can tell without actually holding one), cheap, and the 380 ammo has very little recoil. Any thoughts on that specifically?

Also I'm probably not going to be going for a revolver, mostly for practicality reasons (and they probably will tend to have more recoil than I'd like).

Thanks for the input everyone, this should help me pick out something more easily.

I guess my only other question would be if there is some reason I might not want to use a compact for range shooting?

Today I've added the Claplock Autocarbine and HE-Grenade as weapons. Try them out.

Also, the heal and zap events finally work; so please try them again if they didn't seem to work for you before.

Light and thin are the qualities you wanna look for in a carry pistol. Anything too bulky or too heavy is gonna be awkward to carry.
Yes, but I plan to use this gun for learning. I'll buy a different gun in the future for concealed carry, I mentioned that in the op.

Glocks are pieces of shit. For 9mm, you can't go wrong with a springfield xds, but there's plenty of good Berettas, S&Ws and Rugers. Most M1911s are going to have a heavy trigger, so that might not be comfortable. (Plus, unless you're getting a shitty replica, a good replica or genuine m1911 is going to be fucking expensive)
The springfield looks nice, but isn't it more designed for concealed since it's small? I don't really need something like that yet, unless you think it would also be good for training with.

Definitely will browse at any store I go to, but this thread is helping me see some of the options ahead of time so I'm not totally bewildered when I'm there.

I know some of you here are somewhat of enthusiasts, anyone know what handguns would likely work best for both self defense and be easy to train with no prior experience? I plan to get safety classes, but need to bring an already owned weapon to them. I've already reviewed the requirements on buying in California, did the practice test with no issues since it's obviously mostly common sense. My eventually plan is to get a concealed carry permit, but that shouldn't be a factor in what I'm buying now since it's a long way off.

Some of the classes I looked at called for a .380 or greater caliber, so I'd probably want to look in that range? Also keep in mind that my arm-strength is pretty below average, so I'll need something with little recoil. Doesn't need to be something with a long life either, since I'll likely buy something more specialized later on.
