Help / lights from far away?

lights seem to stop illuminating things once the player gets far enough away. while this should be a good thing, the distance from the player is pathetically short so outside lights that are supposed to GUIDE the player are lights the player cant even see until they're up close
am i stupid or is there a fix for this?

title is self explanatory. if im unable to get someone to host this for me by 2017 ill release it as a gamemode. this build will be ENTIRELY default except the doplayerteleport events and environment.
i intend to have a lot of blockland references all thrown down into one map (might be unfortunately brick heavy so who knows)
its going to be a little france downtown looking, although there will be no eiffel tower, the entire map will be this one big crossroad with a lot of buildings and a lot to do, and in the middle of the crossroad, a huge fountain or other beautiful centerpiece. it doesn't look festive as of now but i'll be putting lights and other nice christmas looking stuff up by the time i get all the buildings/main map stuff running
i'll post frequent update pics, hopefully at least one a week

the underside of madman's cafe + a creepy hole, who knows what it'll lead to?
the side of madman's cafe, probably going to put something of use here or maybe just more decoration idk

you are building a prison, beefed up with thick walls, fences, and the best technology (radars n all that jazz), anything to make your base an absolute nightmare to get into if someone were to try and escape/enter unauthorized.
heres the catch: you can put only two extra types of defenses on the base, from barbed wire, electric fencing, a super mega death laser, anything you wish.
what are those two things?

Off Topic / computer wont start?

yesterday i was browsing the forums and my computer suddenly crashed. i couldn't click on anything, let alone move the mouse, and the computer was overall unresponsive. the music i was listening to loop back over and over. no error message, this went on for a few minutes before i decided to hard shutdown the computer, then i just decided i go to bed and try it in the morning.
and the computer still doesn't work in the morning. when i hold the power button to turn it on, i hear the fan begin and all the normal stuff going off but they stop prematurely and my fan only runs. i let the fan go for a few minutes until i decided to cut the power.
btw: its an all-in-one (piece-of-stuff) pavillion hp with windows 10, thats all i remember of it.
whats happening, forums?
