Do you know what the spotpass feature is? It's the internet part of the software. It's what swapnote was meant to be used for, and it's the only reason anyone used it. :c

I'm pretty sure you could still use the Streetpass feature

Nintendo has been investigating ways of preventing this and determined it is best to stop the SpotPass feature of Swapnote because it allows direct exchange of photos and was actively misused."

So they're getting rid of the SpotPass feature.
