Off Topic / i'm mad because i can't install things

so basically, i have a computer time limit
at 8:45 my computer account gets logged out
at 8:30, 8:40, and 8:44 i get a popup telling me my time's almost up and i have to enter an admin password/username to give me extra time
i would add time pretty frequently if i was in the middle of something which resulted in me getting yelled at
i'm getting to the point soon don't worry
eventually, the account info i used to add time(my mom's account) got the admin revoked meaning i could no longer add more time
however this also means i can't install anything because it requires an admin pass/name as well
this is incredibly annoying because i want to install things ;-;

is there any way around this? or do i just have to live with not being able to install things until i'm older

is there a way to keep it from updating?

Q; what is this?
A; it's a game type in which the goal is to not fall off the tiles. there's one controller every round(the winner of the previous round) who chooses a color. all the tiles which are not that color will fall, and the players have to get to a safe tile.

Q; what colors are there?
A; red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, pink, black, white - and the special rainbow challenge tile.

Q; the heck's a rainbow challenge
A; all of the tiles fall, except for the rainbow tile in the center. there's only one rainbow tile, so if there's a lot of players, this is more difficult than it sounds.

Q; i want to be the controller/never get to be the controller!!!!
A; if you win the round you get to be the controller. i only specifically pick someone out to control if there was an error and we don't know who was supposed to control.

Q; can i b admin?
A; the short answer is no. the long answer is: you'll have to earn it. follow the rules, have a good understanding of how the server works, etc. i don't just give admin away to everyone who asks.

Q; why the quotation marks around falling?
A; the tiles don't actually fall, they fly up. i put a wrong number in while eventing, but since there's no change to the gameplay, the flying tiles were left in.

Q; is this server dedicated?
A; no, for multiple reasons. firstly, i have no idea how to make a dedicated server on a mac, secondly because there are no admins the rules would be broken left and right, thirdly the build is still a work in progress and it could mess up and everyone would be stuck until someone's fetched

the new features are: spectator box, the window is now the gate because people kept trying to go through it, lights removed because they were a bit fiddly, winning is slightly different now, added rules ingame

2. don't ask for admin, and if you're denied admin, don't complain.
3. be a good sport. don't brag about how you won and don't insult people for losing.
4. while swearing is allowed, keep it to a minimum
5. be polite.

the rules can be found in-game as well. if you think a rule is unfair, explain why in a PM or in the thread. if you think a rule should be added, suggest it in a PM or in the thread. if you think you/someone else was unfairly banned, send me a PM.

i'm not sure if this was a glitch or a harmful addon but a loooooooong time ago on my server, whenever anyone joined, it would tell them they got auto admin, even though they didn't
it was extremely annoying to have to say every single time "no it's a glitch you didn't really get admin please shut up", and also one time someone got angry and thought it was a prank and left before i could explain
basically it was an extremely annoying issue, glitch or not

also i know this was a fairly common thing but i had the flashing map issue on some maps
a few maps would blink from a random color to white really fast when i played them

yes i know i've posted this in the minecraft thread but it hasn't gotten any responses yet and i don't think it's just minecraft
basically if i try and do anything with terminal it doesn't do anything
for one thing if i try to open the .command file to start my mc server it just gives me a blank window:

and basically anything i do just gives me a blank window or nothing happens
this only just started happening today and idk what i'm doing wrong

Help / weird error "out of range pos.x"

i was playing on a server, and i randomly got an error
when i clicked "ok" the game closed
when i rejoined the server, it came up again after i spawned:

what does this mean/how do i fix it?

two possibilities: i have RTB installed even though it's unstable on my computer, and i turned my draw distance up - could either of these have caused it?

this has always annoyed me. when people post in dramas just to say it
s the OP's fault for going to a family RP or jail RP or knife DM or whatever
first off, it's dismissive. you are basically saying "i don't care about the thread but you joined a server"
secondly it is just dumb
not everyone who hosts one kind of server is dumb. seriously.
yes family RPs are often hosted by dumb people but that doesn't mean every single host of a family RP is automaticaly stupid

basically: your interests =/= your intelligence
