Hey! So after getting a new headset, and getting Fraps to work properly, I have decided to start posting Youtube videos! Clone534 and I started a channel about 2 months ago, and we have just started recording sessions.

In this video, Clone and I decided to record one of our Blockland gaming sessions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd66LMoLFWg&index=1&list=UUpxEAv9il1exGy1lhe7E8gg

We joined two servers,

Scřtt's Half Life 2 TDM

and

Big Steve XC's Crouch Race - Volcano

Keep in mind, this is the first video that I have ever recorder (with the full version of Fraps), and more specifically, the first video I ever edited. I don't use any sort of fancy shmancy editor, just Windows Movie Maker. Please tell me what you think, and what I can work on in later videos! Feel free to comment on the video, or right here on this topic! Thanks, and Enjoy the video!

On the bottom of the brackets there's a little thing showing what to do to the time to figure out your timezone.
So if it was at 20:00 on the schedule and you lived in the GMT timezone, it says "GMT + 0" so I add no hours.
If I lived in CST timezone, it says "CST - 6" so I would subtract 6 hours making it 14:00
I can add other timezones if people want but those are just the major ones I could really think of :)

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks!

For some people, modeling comes as basically a natural ability once you start. I would recommend using Blender, Milkshape, or Sketchup for 3D modeling.

Alright, I've downloaded Sketchup and I'm messing around with some of the features and what not. So how should I start? Do I just make a box and shape it up? How does everyone else do it?

I can't believe I missed the USA game. Last time I checked the schedule, it was 20:00. Stupid time zones, messin' up eveything.

The most important thing is to find a program that makes sense to you, really. You could have the greatest tools in the world and it wouldn't mean anything if you spent 10 minutes fumbling over the interface.

Ok. Which programs are available? I know there's Blender, but I've also heard of some others.

So, I've decided to start modeling for Blockland. Not necessarily for posting addons and stuff, but just for the sake of knowing. Unfortunately I have no idea where to begin, nor how to start modeling anything.
What I'm asking for is a simple guide on where to start.

What programs should I use?

What's a good way to practice?

What should I model?

How 2 model?

I really don't like asking people for step-by-step guides, but that's really what I need.  Maybe I'll finally understand what "lowering the polygon level", and stuff like that. I'm not asking how to model really detailed weapons or something, just some basic advice on where to start, and how to do it. Thanks!

Try these two

Captain Jack - Dream a Dream 0:43 - ???

Waterflame - Clutterfunk 1:13 - ???

Make em' sound good, please.

Finished those. Clutterfunk sounds pretty good, in my opinion, but Dream a Dream was a bit harder to loop. I still made it sound as good as possible.

I also looped some other songs! Enjoy!

Clutterfunk - Waterflame

Dream a Dream - Captain Jack

Everything Is Awesome - Joli (that song from The Lego Movie)

Move Your Feet - Junior Senior

Whoomp There It Is - Tag Team

Dum Dum - Tedashii

Cotton Eye Joe - Rednex
