I've seen that episode of WBB, tbh I don't think it's horrible, idk if that changes when you show it in brazilIn Brazil there is this whole concern about adults or rapists in dating websites, that's why our reaction was different, it probably has a completely different perspective in america though.
but that's you talking, you don't really represent the current child demographic well. also this whole 'tv is ruining our children!' argument has been fought before on literally every level in every time period. back when powerpuff girls and samurai jack used to air, parents would literally boycott cartoon network, saying that those shows were too violent and were a bad influence on children. your argument is probably the less credible and a complete role reversal.There is no such thing as a "child demographic", it's the adults and the staff of those TV channels who decides whatever they want to show for them, for better or worse, and like it was pointed out above, I don't think twerking and self-inserts is a nice substitute for children, but hey, it fits their agenda so it's fine by them, and now we get to see characters pointing out social justice or feminism, and yesterday my young brothers were watching an episode of that bears cartoon, and the subject was literaly about the panda meeting a girl from a dating website, my parents were disgustingly surpised about this, after all we were very well aware about the dangers of those websites, I won't be surprised with what comes next.
i mean, cmon. 'this show is making our children too sensitive'? children are literally the most sensitive demographic on earth, if anything exposing them to less violence is objectively better than more violence. the morals you want to be teaching kids are respect towards other people and helpfulness/benevolence, not libertarian vigilante justice like samurai jack or powerpuff girls (though ppg is definitely an empowering show for female audiences)
either way both of our arguments are made moot by the fact that cartoon network is still profiting vastly off of their business model, so your personal grievances aren't really that valid considering the fact that cartoon network is one of the most viewed channels. if their stocks and viewership dropped significantly then the whole 'teen titans go needs to go' chant would be more valid than ever
its probably because their demographic isn't 20 year olds.It wasn't for 20 year olds back then either, it's that the more the time passes, the more people are being sensitive over anything.
Did a Kids TV Show talk about a serious issue?Just look at their own staff team now and you'll see why, for example PPG used to have a lot of action and violence, now it's almost a completely different thing.

For real though, damn, That's more than I was expecting out of a Cartoon Network show.
