What do you mean "we"? You had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Generic term to include the United States as a whole. Idiot.

377
We invented the internet you're posting on OP your argument is invalid.

Isn't the Higgs Boson an explanation for how, if atoms are in now way connected, they can take on solid shape?

Right it is. I think the idea is that there is a wave of energy that permeates our very existence. All matter is held up in this energy like broccoli in jello.

Must be a hell of a good read.

I agree with what people have said regarding the suspension of the vehicle. Off road vehicles are meant to be higher up off the ground to account for rocky terrain.

Alyx Vance is incredibly stupid.

Yes, and SEGA is giving Rome 2 a 40% increase in budget so they are going all out. You've never been able to manage both the navy and army in one battle before. I knew they were going to make Rome 2 ever since they finished Shogun 2. I was looking forward to it but now that I know the details the scope of it is mind numbing to think about. Many an hour will be taken playing this game.

A wonderful live action trailer that explains nothing about the gameplay...

If you've never played any total war game before you basically are put in charge of a country and generals. Total War is a mix of Real Time and Turn based strategy where buildings and units are constructed in settlements on a turn based map. You march generals across the map and when they come into combat with another force you are put in a battle based on the terrain of the map.

Here is gameplay from the first Rome Total War.

Here is the latest installment Total War: Shogun 2 to show you how far the graphics have come from 2005.

Skip ahead in the video's if you'd like, the action starts a little late due to you having to actually march your army over to the enemy.

9 minute gameplay

Live Action Trailer

What I expect the gameplay to be like.

What the trailer for 2005's Rome Total War was like.

'We're aiming for the most awe-inspiring battles you've ever seen in a game'

Quotes from people who witnessed actual alpha gameplay.

"The close-ups show the faces of soldiers as they call out to each other – panicked expressions, faces contorting, the dread and hardships of ancient war evident in their eyes. Every soldier is an individual, every soldier experiences pain, fear, exhaustion. It's not easy being in the Roman legions."

"Total War: Rome 2 will also seamlessly transition battles from sea to land. During my 10 minute overview of Carthage, I witness giant boats carry Roman soldiers onto the beach, where they hastily put together giant siege towers so soldiers could scale the massive walls of Carthage."

"It's a massive project for us. It's got a big budget, bigger than any Total War game we've ever made. It's also very new for us, because we have the combination of ship and land and there will be multiple capture points that will make things more interesting."

"The Roman invasion would not look out of place in a show like HBO's The Pacific. The legions pour off their ships and charge ashore, where they are met with flaming arrows that look not unlike bullet tracers. The camera zooms in on a pack of Roman soldiers inside a siege tower. One of them turns and yells, "We fight for Rome!" Then the door slams open, and they are battling through the avenues of Carthage as walls crumble and streets burn. You can guess how it ends: a herd of elephants abruptly comes crushing through the Roman forces, because you can't have Carthage without a few armored pachyderms."

Details, details, details

According to what I can gather there will be major cities such as Rome and Carthage that are individually made so attacking these cities will be unique.

You won't just have 1 ship to control in naval battles anymore there will be a few ships to unit that will control similar to land units.

You can load troops onto ships then send them disembark them in battle. The ships will be able to bombard the cities while your units attack. Ships will be able to properly capture territory, and take part in combined land and see battles.

Carthage has elephants again.

The map will be larger the Rome Total War. It's supposed to go out further east but I think you could expect it to go further north and south too.

Total War: Rome II has a new engine. Better lighting and particles, particles can cast shadows. Unlike in shogun where individual soldiers battled each other one on one when two units attack each other it's going to be "a total meat grinder." Facial animations have been added and are splendid.

They are planning on toning the game down for people with less than great computer specs.

Players will be able rewrite history. Want to take over the world as Carthage,? Whatever floats your boat.

POSSIBLE ADDITIONS TO THE GAME

4 on 4 multiplayer. It's likely given the huge scope of the battle that each player will be a general in control of a certain aspect of the siege/defense.

With the new facial animations you can expect a more detailed story.

Possible tri-story arch. The Rise, Height, and Fall of the Roman Empire.

Christianity might be in the late late game.
