my uncle (or great uncle?) was a waist gunner in WWII was shot down and spent several years in a concentration camp

my dad says he talked to him about it a few times and it seems my uncle always felt like it was his fault because he missed a plane or something

I'm not saying it was better so what's the loving problem?

is there anything wrong with the fact that I would (or at least think that I would) like to have grown up during that general time?
