Blockland, despite what others might say, is a game for building other games.
Blockland: Rip off other games for only $19.99!
No. You should change that to "is a game for building NEW games"

You can already tell if the vehicle flies.
Really? How?

Besides, maybe it's a flying carpet and something like that would be inappropriate.

I hosted one but it sucked.

I have a build that would be just wonderful for a creeper server. But the thing is it's not mine, and my friend isn't online. It's Khain's build if anyone is wondering. Here are two pictures. Note I am missing some bricks but I don't know which ones:
-snip-
There should be those fence bricks in all those square gaps you see.
That map's too big; It spreads too slow to be a challenge on big maps. A nice small map that looks like a small, damaged city section would be nice.

RTB Links to brick packs used? I'm particularly interested in those slanted bricks used in the sinks and toilets. found it

I'm really questioning how your stupid ass hasn't been banned yet
he's bumping the topic in a rather obnoxious way

Bump, I guess if it is possible than hell yes make it match player hands color!
Even better you just make the player do the bothHandsUp animation.

will the engine be able to detect if you are in a flying vehicle or not?
That's a good question. It would be best if the HUD was custom-coded into the vehicle or a simple check in the script that says something like this:
Code: [Select]
vehicleFlies(1);

This item is a fine example of the definition of Trolling.
It could be an admin tool (some guy in a death-match is using a glitch spot to get tons of frags) or even better for something like a render-man game mode

RTB is also available.
I hate their add-on menu! It's small but super slow. Can't they just use checkboxes?

I'd like a nice old-school server gui! Even shows the game-modes instead of where maps would be! Hate the huge letters, looks like it belongs on a cell phone.

would it be able to detect how fast the camera is moving
it would most likely be a server-sided check that tells the client what to do

I want some good quake-like deathmatches! In fact, I might start one now. Default bricks and everything.

What

But it's a TF2 server there are supposed to be classes, and the server can't be that bad.
Also you don't need points to win, you simply get points, but it's straight forward gameplay.
Points should buy extras, not essentials. You know, stuff like health packs and  extra grenades.

General Discussion / Re: Blockland - Six Years of Building
« on: December 15, 2012, 10:13:16 PM »
Blockland was first released in 2004.

Not the commercial version, but you could still build in that version so it's more like 8 years of building.

The bottom is a little too square. It could use some more colors, ones that are vivid and possibly a bit darker (it looks too bright). Another suggestion is to line the hallways with computers and lights, that would look nice. The interior is rather empty, it lacks important facilities like dormitories, restrooms, storage, etc. It may also help to add some props (tables, chairs, benches)

It looks pretty good and not too detailed or attention grabbing for a "generic car".

I don't think simple is bad in a Lego game.

2/10 colors are bland and it just doesn't have a lot of detail.
AND it looks unsuited for a deathmatch. Doors are a big nono, and the lack of objects to take cover behind.

HUGE contrast between the bases. One is overly round to the point it doesn't even look like a structure, and the other is overly square.

The lighting is bad and very uneven. Try lighting from the ceiling and the sidelines rather than the ground.

Colors are bland, try adding some patterns or attempt to set up a "mood" through your color pallete rather than simply using appropriate colors.

Looks too unfinished to be posted here.

It's got good building and alot of nice detail, but it looks a bit cramped and uses waay to many brick packs.

I think 20 brick packs is quite enough, let alone three-thousand...
