The problem with Vista's ready boost is that it does not speed up your computer by a noticeable amount, mostly because the read/write speed of flash drives is not amazing and the limits of USB 2.0. Although with USB 3.0, this might actually be worth it because its estimated transfer speed of 4.8 GB/s (Gigabits, not gigabytes, data transfer speed is measured in bytes/second)

I don't own a mac but I am guessing that you should be able to extract the files where you can and manually move them to the corresponding folders in your blockland directory.
