dusty, planr, qwepir, bisjac
seems like an average ill-thought out debate thread
most of what i've heard out of dusty in this thread were personal attacks and insults shoehorned into some restated arguments.

from qwepir, his posts have been almost entirely made up of just insults and personal attacks. considerably shallow behavior.
im just here because of the free food
and to laugh at plant for being a dipstuff
such as this fine post right here

bisjac on the other hand is making good arguments with plenty of reasoning. and i agree with him.

I've seen several help topics before created by people using windows 8, it seems from those it doesn't work yet.

You're blaming a murder victim for being murdered. Let me repeat that: You're blaming a murder victim for being murdered. I've seen a lot of ignorance on this forum, and a lot of it has come from older adults who should really know better. But this really, really takes the cake.

I'm done with you.
You stated that alot simpler than i'm trying to make it out to be. I am not simply "blaming" anyone 100% for crimes committed against them. There are always different factors to take into account when reasoning out the blame, both in the legal sense and what they should have or ought to have done. It isn't a simple "she's dead and it's her fault", it's "she's dead, but she could have done this to try to defend herself, but she didn't and so she's dead".

I base blame not only on who did what, but who didn't do what to help avoid it.

I'm only going to mention that wearing more protective clothing does slow down a rapist and can garner a girl some extra time to call for help and/or struggle before she is violated. It's a sad thing that rape happens, but there are some precautions which should be taken to ensure it happens less often. Granted (as a comparison), people might still break into your house regardless if the doors are locked or not, but you can still slow them down if you engage the locks.
Indeed. This is 100% true.

Thank you, that's all I needed.
I'm glad we agree on this. This was the point i've been making the entire time. The assailant is never innocent. That's simply dumb.
However I can never ignore it when I know that the victim had unintentionally set themself up in a bad situation. They are not legally at fault for this but they should have done better.

10/10 forums, 10/10. Did IQs just drop sharply while I was away or something?
No, everyone just have a different opinion from yours. So, I guess that makes everyone else stupid?

I guess it's a murder victim's fault for not being well-versed enough in self-defense to have stopped his own death.
Partially, yes. Not legally accountable however. The assailant gets 90% of the blame.

Planr, you're disgusting. You really are. Come off it. Stop parroting all the bullstuff Mommy and Daddy blabber when they're in church and open your eyes. Maybe you should just get a time machine and move back to 1950 so you can live happily with your ignorance.
This is the most pathetic attempt I have seen to shoehorn personal attacks into an argument all day. Bravo dusty. You really hurt my feelings.

Spam thread...?

I don't even know what the forget you how, can.. what how can you possibly come up with that?

Since when could you only protest if you were a victim?
What about people protesting "save the trees?" None of them were ever a tree that got cut down.

People can be against rape even if they weren't raped. I do not see how you were going about this.

And the reason I kept saying no to him was because I already know he's ignorant, selfish, and a waste of time. He can throw his "i don't care about the well-being of others" at me all he wants, I'm not dignifying him with appropriate responses.
The event is inappropriate for children to be present at. I know if I was a parent I wouldn't even dare take my kids within a city block of that parade.

I still don't understand why you're blaming the victims.
Not blaming. The blame is on both parties, but the victims in most cases did not take the smart steps to avoid being the receiving end of the crime. Therefore they are to blame too. We can also say it's not a girl's fault she forgot to read the bathroom sign and walked into the men's restroom and got raped, even though it's her fault for not being attentive and smart.

We shouldn't have to live sheltered and protected just because you think richards should be allowed to commit crime, just because the person didn't protect themself well enough.
Whoa. Stop right there. I never said or implied this. These are your words. The crime committer is responsible for the crime, but moreso than the victim. The victim is at fault however for not doing everything she could to avoid being the victim. Such as carrying a gun with her or dressing more modestly.

We're in 2012. Not 1100.
Actually back in those times, rapists were almost always executed for their crimes. They aren't today. We've started "playing nice" on everyone and it's costing our society alot of grief, such as what happened at this event. People who do alot of damage to our society are defended by counterproductive groups who say it's "mean" to get rid of them for their crimes. So now the victims have to have these stupid parades to show their hate, because they can't rest in satisfaction with the knowledge that their assailants were given the proper justice.

wearing slutty clothes makes you to blame for rape?
Means you set yourself up as a target. Poor defensive measures.

then having lots of money makes you to blame for robbery
Means you set yourself up as a target. Poor defensive measures.

being a smaller person makes you to blame for physical abuse
Unfortunate truth of life, you can't really help being small. Just makes you a better target.

being poor makes you to blame for starving
If you got yourself into the situation then yes. Drug addicts who spend their inheritances and money away on drugs are to blame for being poor/starving. It's a part of life. This isn't a fairy tale world. It's a dog-eat-dog world. Some people are gonna starve.

classifying gay people as insects, thats a new one
I wasn't implying or referring to such a thing. These are your words, not mine.

Yes i have created my account... er yesterday by now, but the intention wasn't to just reply to this drama. I've been playing Blockland for quite a while and i did have an account for the forums. However i forgot the log in information and so i just created a new one. If you look at when I first answered to this drama and when i created this account they are off by 1 hour. if i had created an account to just simply reply to this drama i would have answered sooner.
are you serious.

people at gay pride parades dont expect a straight couple to start loving each other in the middle of the street.

i mean really its kind of weird how hard you support what this guy did. maybe you follow some forgeted up religion that supports being a creepy creep idk.
It also shows that at such events the people promoting them really aren't looking for equality or to end discrimination but to replace society's values and morals with their own. Like a colony of invading insects.
