are you seriously trying to imply technological advancement is counter-productive
I'm saying that technology has allowed us to live more unhealthy lives and lifestyles more easily and with less consequence. We have all sorts of medical knowledge and procedures about how to fix ourself up when we are in bad shape. Transplants, surgeries and all sorts of stuff. On the other hand we don't have to do as much hard work as the average person did several centuries ago. So it's easier to simply hop in the car to get to the bank in 5 minutes than it is to jog there in 20.
We also have treadmills and diet plans/medicines, and so some people can stay in shape more easily. But most people will follow the lifestyle that requires less effort, because, well, it simply makes sense to them, because its easier.
