Okay, estimate how many of the active BL players do not care about the forums and have an intelligence level over your average rat.
The value of what the majority of BL users desire for the game is not based on their intelligence, it is based on what they want.

IMO the people that keep whining about how terrain accounts for "a majority of the game" are delusional and have completely forgotten the entire essence of blockland

i dont understand anything why cant you have shadows and shaders AND interiors and terrain
this has been explained far too many times already, and i am pretty sure this was answered in the OP

You must live in an awfully bad neighborhood for stuff like this happen without intervention sooner.

Maybe you should make a version without lights, to make it seem "abandoned"
Or we could just flip the switch that turns the lights off. I am doing that you know, having lights on the ship that you can't turn off is dumb.

As a Spacebuilder I make all my builds on slate. I fully support this update, and spaceship interiors are going to look far cooler than before.

So, by removing terrain that was completely optional to use we can move forward?
Yes. If it was optional to have terrain in the game, then we wouldn't be having the problems we are having now. It has to go. It looks bad and outdated, and the overwhelming majority of terrain maps have a level of detail equivalent to a Nintendo 64 game. As I said before,
This is 2012, not 1995. It is time to move on.
And to be honest, I myself rarely ever build on terrain maps. 99% of everything I build is on a slate map.

What "features"?  All I saw are shaders.
Greatly improved vehicle physics, faster ghosting times, less lag with builds, rain not penetrating builds, etc...

Yet again, the only comeback you have are graphics.
Good job ignoring everything else I said and dismissing it all as a "comeback".

This update will allow far more possibilities that terrain and interiors restrained us from doing before. It isn't just about graphics. Tons of other stuff is going to get better and new features will be possible as well.

So we're at the end of the road?
with terrain and interiors in the way, yes, we are.

I'd rather have better maps
They are ugly. They have the equivalent graphics and complexity of an N64 game. This is 2012, not 1995. It is time to move on.
There is no room for maps to get "better".

Because as I know you have a terrible computer.

The content will be limited to what we can build with bricks, and that is obviously a severe restriction on our creative ability.
This is absolutely wrong. In truth the exact OPPOSITE is going to happen. People are definitely going to have to be more creative now with their builds since they can't just load up some crappy mountain map, slap a bunch of plates down and call it a build. They will have to build their surroundings rather than just load up some garbage prebuilt mountain.

This update shows they care more about graphics than gameplay.

"oh boo hoo interiors are ugly"
