I understand all of your points and I will work to improve the rules of the server. But that does not justify assuming how things work in a server. If he was unsure about something he should have asked.
Once again, it's not Zealot's fault for not knowing the lore behind the RP. It's your fault for not explaining it to him and all the other players through events to begin with.When new players come to your server, they should be spawning in a special room or area where they are forced to learn the lore behind the RP and how to properly play the RP. It saves players the trouble of having to ask (or gambling and making assumptions), and it saves you the trouble of having to repeatedly explain to every person how to play. Just do this dude and it should do a lot to help solve your problem.

The Lore is very well constructed. The map is high in quality and I try my best to make fun interesting events to mix up the inter RP drama.While these things are good, in reference to your RP, no one's going to care how good the build and backstory are when you've got such extremely restrictive over-the-top rules that (if people don't want to get banned) forces players to frequently stop to think and brown townyze everything they're about to do. That's not fun at all.
He did not take the time to figure out what he was pulled into in any way. He just made an assumption and it got him in trouble. I will adjust his punishment when I get the time but he should have played more to understand how things work.This is not his fault, it's your fault for failing to set up the RP properly so that new players are forced to learn the RP's lore and how to play the RP. It's called a beginner's room, or an entrance hall, or a tutorial. I'm doing such a concept on some RPs I will be doing in the future. Perhaps it would help you to do the same, instead of using your own failed system and then punishing players for it.
Can we stay on topic? This is about Zealot Freekilling. Its better to ask about how things are done then to just assume.
