I honestly feel sorry for you. If you honestly think that ending a persons life before it begins, I feel sorry for you.

They're are no hard facts for this. There is only morals. Nobody can tell the future. You can't actually see what somebody is going to do during their life. There is no reality to uncertainty. The to-be child you are thinking about ending could be the greatest thing in your life. Ultimately, you might die during child birth. Why think of the negative? Thinking negatively never got anyone anywhere.

The only facts are. This fetus may or may not become a child. Beyond that, there is nothing.
it's not a person, infact up to 20 weeks it can't even think (even past that, it's only REM sleep that they count as "thought"), it's about as morally bad as running over a frog.

and yeah, nobody can tell the future, which is why you need to step away from your "they could cure cancer" argument. as i said before, if you want to use that sort of pseudo logic, you might want to launch a vendetta against people who have protected love and don't get pregnant in the first place; because they're equally preventing the development of life with "potential".

and don't feel sorry for me, i get to enjoy great love with my girlfriend without having to worry that we have to have a baby should her pill fail :)

Just saying the smarter thing to do is not have unprotected love in the first place so you don't have to get the abortion in the first place.
no stuff, thanks for that

aa disregard
are you reading what he's posting?

"hypothetically this could happen! think of the potential" (works for both sides of the argument)
"think of yourself being wiped from existence" (not valid because we're already here to talk about it, fetuses can't think so wtf)

if he wants to give some hardline facts then go ahead

molasses, try and contribute something valid to your side of the argument instead of your pseudo logic and armchair philosophy

and start replying to specific quotes instead of throwing your nonsense up in the air and hoping for the best

If I had a daughter I would make her have that child because she was stupid enough to have unprotected love in the first place. Beside you don't have to kill an unborn child, you can give your baby to an orphanage and give someone who can't have kids of their own a chance.
you'd be a horrible father

"yeah so you have to have something grow inside you for 9 months and then go through immense pain and sickness to push it out. then after that you have to go through immense emotional pain and give it away - that'll teach you!"

having to get an abortion is punishment enough.
I'm not saying it's not a painful thing. I know it is.

What I am saying is that it is a big thing just to end something so big. Something that can accomplish just about anything.

You can recover from having an unprepared child. You can't recover from death. I don't care how much having a child affects you. No matter how much it affects you, it can't affect you more than being dead. Death is and always be the last say. Having a child will never reach that level.
again with the same "can accomplish anything" bullstuff logic. the environment it grows up in dictates what it can accomplish (most of the time). sure, everyone hears about the great people who come from nothing and rise up to amazing things - but all the people who don't do amazing things and end up in stuff conditions don't make headlines (that's called a confirmation bias).

if you're going to continue using that logic, you may as well go on a vendetta against people who decide to not even get pregant in the first place, because they're also denying the development of life that might do amazing things.

I also hate the assumption that an unprepared child will have a bad life.

There are so many opportunities in this world. Who knows. Maybe that person would have become the smartest person to ever live. Maybe they were going to discover the cure for cancer. I hate the idea that a human child, because it is a nuisance should be killed, just because of the circumstances.
"because it is a nuisance"

we're not talking about a minor inconvenience here. a teenage couple who decides to keep an unplanned baby are changing the course of their whole lives. and that "they could cure cancer" bullstuff is exactly that, bullstuff. that same logic can be used to defend any side. maybe a teenage girl would cure cancer if she didn't keep her unplanned baby but she decided to and didn't go down that path (see, bullstuff)

i also hate the assumption that it's a minor thing to have an abortion. i know a couple that had one, and it was by no means a minor thing, it affected them pretty severely on an emotional level.

If you get in bed and decide not to use a condom or take other safety measures, then no abortion for you. You're just being a dumb forget. If you get raped by some asshat, then abortion is okay.
that's loving stupid. both of those result in an unplanned and possibly unwanted child. you're saying it like it's a punishment for the couple, when really it's the child who would ultimately suffer.

also ontopic, an interesting read

abortion is good.

anti abortion groups like to cling to the "pro life" stuff, but i rather bring a child into the world when i know it's going to have a good quality of life, rather than being unplanned and unprepared. women should have the choice.

lol at all of the people saying "waiting for the perfect girl" no girl wants a guy whos never even kissed someone before. i mean right now its fine not having kissed a girl, but when youre older and you have a girlfriend(who you feel is your "special someone") she probally wont find it cute that you saved your first kiss for her. esp since she has most likely kissed someone. i also doubt the first girl you kiss is going to be the one you end up with. youre not gaining anything so i suggest getting over the "waiting for the perfect girl" stuff and just kiss girls lol
i agree with this so much and was going to post it myself until i saw you did

same thing goes with not having love imo. girls want someone who knows what they're doing, not some aspie virgin who has never touched a girl and will be weird about everything. anyone "waiting for the perfect girl" is just wasting their time and ultimately sabotaging themselves in the end.

i think this is a great idea. anyone still using ie7 is handicapped

Yes, exactly. My point is you are an adult by law of your country, not by actual standard. "I am and you're not" lol, you don't seem to understand what I was getting at at all.
the law is a standard (legal studies 101)

i am an adult. you're trying to say i don't act adult [to you], which really does not mean much to me, especially not coming from you. so yeah, i'm an adult and you're not  :panda:

The point there is that you seem to think being an adult is what age your government set. You are a living example that your government made a bad guess at what age to set.
By the law in my country of residence, I am a "legal adult". No matter what spin you want to try and put on it, I'm an adult, and you're not.
